I bought this book because I have seen every episode of 90210 as well as Tori & Dean Inn Love. I find Tori Spelling interesting and wanted to learn more. This book kept me interested all weekend. I received it in the mail on Thursday and was finished with it on Saturday. The only dislike I have of this book is that it left me wanting more. I hope she makes another book.

Born into Hollywood Royality Tori Spelling has been the reporters dream~

this book is well written and pretty much lays out Tori's mistakes and hard times~ from BAD BAD choices in men and her personal life~ how being Aaron Spelling's Daughter made her media fodder and often closed as many doors and opportunies as it opened~some fun info on her time as Donna Martin on 90210~ and about her fairy tale wedding to Wrong man~ her stuggles with in her family~ most interesting is how she clears up some LIES told by the press~ MUCH better than I expected~ worth the read~ I GIVE IT A SOLID 8 OUT OF 10~ AND It SOUNDS LIKE SHE HAS TURNED HER LIFE AROUND~

This book was a cute, humorous look at the inside of the rich and famous. It just goes to show you that just because you're rich doesn't mean you're exempt from problems with your parents, jobs, life, etc. Tori is actually a great story teller. Pick up the book, you'll find it hard to put down!

Captivating and a book I will read over and over. Cures any curiosity about the Shannon Doherty spat and the drama between Tori and her mom. Heartwarming, made me laugh, made me cry.

I became interested in Tori Spelling when her latest show Tori and Dean Inn Love was on air. I never really paid attention to her before that.am now sorry that I missed out on seeing her show SoNOTORIous. I think that she did a good job writing the book. She gave a lot of specific details about things that have happened to her in her life, very personal details that she really didnt have to write about. If there's one thing I could say about Tori Spelling is that she seems to tell the truth and be honest pretty much all of the time. That's not an easy thing to do when all everyone else wants to do is make you out to be a bad person. There were a few parts in the book that I was forcefully reminded of her upbringing and thus her ability to portray and act out as the spoiled type, but she has also had to be thrust into the generic category of a barely making it actor like so many normal people.
So I think she did a good job with this book. I only wish I could still watch her life unfold on Tori and Dean Inn Love.

  Fantastic Read

I have to say I had second thought on reading this book. What i thought i knew about Tori Spelling was completely wrong. or rather how i assumed she lived was wrong. I got the idea because of whom she was or rather whom her dad was, i thought that she had everything handed to her on a silver platter but her life was the complete oppisite, she had to fight for everything she got. Just because she was a spelling did not mean great things it seemed to mean that she had to work that much harder. After ereadibng the book, i have a new found respect for her. She is where she is because she is a strong lady . She went through alot but she had to in order to be the beautiful lady she has turned out to be! Kudos to her for writing sucha great memoir!! i would advise alot of people read this but read it with an open mind and not a critical one! Thank you, Kristy

I was never a fan of Tori Spelling or her work. I stumbled upon her reality show one day and just couldn't bring myself to change the channel. I was amazed how funny and normal she was. As embarrassed as I was, I bought the book. I ended up reading it all in one day. I couldn't put it down! I was completely blown away at some of the stories she told. It really did shine a whole new light on her. I definitely recommend it.

  "SHOULD BE "STORY TELLING"
Review created: 09/21/08
by:
2 of 2 people found this review helpful.

I think this book has a lot of imagination on the part of Tori Spelling.
She wants you to think, "oh, pity me" and can see where she convinces people the drama she had in her up bringing just to be like everyone else.
She puts her own self in the spotlight with her poorly rated TV show, "Tori and Dean", books, ect.
I think she talked to her Madame Alexander dolls too much growing up..laugh.
If this was of any help, please check yes.
Many Thanks.

I found this book very interesting and was easy to read. I read the book in three days. It keeps your attention and I found it hard to put down. She's more down to earth then I expected but, she paints her mother in a bad light and I found it hard to believe at times that she had know idea why her mother did some of the things she did. Otherwise, a good read.

I bought this book because I like autobio's and Hollywood gossip. I was not dissappointed. The relationship between Tori & her parents was very intersting, as were the details of life in Hollywood. It was well-written.

Quite pleased that Tori Spelling's book kept me wanting to read more.
An interesting life (so far) is what she's had. We all make mistakes.
Her second marriage reads and is so deep. Never knew anything about
this lovely young woman. She's a keeper.

  Tori's Book is SPELLbinding
Review created: 11/13/08
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

After watching 90210, it is refreshing to see that Tori Spelling is her own person and not just some Barbie doll type created by media hype and networks. Tori shows that growing up in Hollywood is not as glam as everyone thinks and proves the Beatles correct that money can't by you love. With a father who loved her dearly and showered her with anything a little girl could want and a mother who isn't really sure how to show it, its amazing that she turned out "normal" as she describes it in her own words. The books shows all the ups and downs in her life and how she took her destiny into her own hand and had to make a choice in her happiness or everyone elses. This book proves that Tori is a hard worker, has a great sense of humor and loves probably more than anyone in Hollywood. She has a heart of gold and the book to prove it! Any Tori Spelling fan will love it. Read about the real girl behind "Donna Martin" and the life she lead before and after 90210.

I bought this as this year's "beach read" and couldn't put it down! This is yet another example of how money can't buy happiness and how things are not always as they seem. So happy Tori has found love and happiness in her husband, children and friends! LOVE her! :)

I grew up watching 90210 and Donna was not my favorite character. I caught an episode of Tori & Dean and fell in love with Tori Spelling and her family! I purchased this book for a more in depth look at her life. I was amazed and delighted! Great Summer Read!!!!

If it wasn't for Oxygen showing Tori and Dean's show, I NEVER would have bought this book!! Thank you Oxygen!! It was one of the best books I have ever read! I am so glad that I read this book, because I was so wrong about Tori Spelling! I could not stand her on 90210, and never have I watched one of her movies. But her show on Oxygen was interesting, and the book even better! She is NOT the rich, spoiled witch I thought, and she is very comical. She is a great writer, and I really enjoyed the book. She does repeat herself alot, but in a funny way. Only regrets I had about the book, it wasn't long enough! Way to go Tori!! Very proud of you!!
