iRobot Roomba Virtual Wall 2003 Robotic Cleaner

I bought the Roomba Elite Pro which includes 2 virtual wall units. They work exactly as advertised. Roomba doesn't go across the wall. I can push my mess to one side of the room, set up this virtual wall, and let Roomba run. When it's done, I push the mess to the other side of the room (which is now clean) and let Roomba clean the other half of the room. I can clean the apartment without having to clean-up first. Now, only if iRobot can come up with something that put stuffs back on the shelves....

One annoying thing is, it doesn't come with the 2 DD batteries required. It's not that expensive to include two cheapo non-alkaline batteries with the unit, consider how expensive they sell this thing for. People don't generally stock DD batteries. When we unpack it, we want to be able to test it out "right away".

Im only goingto give it a good because either the man showing the demo didnot know wha he was doig or the Vacuum did not know what itt was doing, also please not this Vacuum is NOT cheap. you will need to take out a second morgage on your house almost to buy it ( i love my Dyson) . we each got a VHS tape to take home with us to watch how it works how to clean it , it was a Infomercial on tape. I just dont see it cleaning eery aquare inch of your home as it spent most ofthe time backing up after hitting a wall a chair and a table leg. Im not even sure i can review thing being as I did not buy it, I bought my Dyson instead. and i love it :o)

We've had a Roomba system for a little over a year and find it is a great way to keep the dust bunnies and pet hair at bay during the week! We highly recommend it!

The virtual wall is an essential part of the Roomba system. Using virtual wall units you can make your Roomba stay exactly where you want it to clean.

Setting up your virtual wall(s) is easy. Simply place the unit with the front facing where you want the 'wall' to be and turn it on. There is a simple setting that changes how far the wall projects.

Fresh batteries are essential for the Virtual Wall to work correctly. I recommend using either alkaline-type or rechargeables.

Range is just "ok" and the one-hour timer needs to be a tad longer to allow for the "max" setting on all Roomba models, otherwise the Roomba will roam.

This was bought used to go with the vacume and the other wall I already had shipping was fast. the unit works great, its everything I expected It controls my Irobot like it is supposed to.

I like the extra wall to keep the Roomba where i want it, and that's why I bought it.Actually I purchased 3.

I have a Roomba with 2 virtual walls. It worked real well but I needed more walls. I found them on E-Bay easy and at a really good price! They worked really well and make my Roomba much more efficient. The seller was very fair with the price and shipping and very prompt! Love using E-Bay.

I needed an extra virtual wall. Found it on eBay and bought it at an excellent price. I use it every few days and couldn't get along without it.

I bought a Roomba but it only comes with one virtual wall and somehow very
expensive to buy direct from the source. This seller offer s a good alternate
source and works quite well.

I bought this product because buying it directly from the factory was very expensive. Therefore, ebay is the way for me. It is in working order, works fine and I am extremely happy with my purchase like all my purchases with Ebay.

It makes easyer to guide the robat.

Tips:
- Do not use near the home base (hard to dock)
- The wall is not a line it is V shape.

The virtual wall worked well. I bought it as an extra to go with my roomba that I bought on line also.

These little guys are must haves if you want to get the most efficient use from Roomba vacuums. They keep if confined to the area that you are trying to clean and the neat thing is they turn themselves off. Our Roomba came with one, but we bought another one on ebay and it really makes the vacuum work better.

These are a must have if you own a Roomba or a Scuba. The original purchase of these products usually only come with one virtual wall which is certainly not enough unless you have a very small house. They work great in controlling where you want your Roomba to go.

The Roomba Virtual Wall is somewhat more limited than the Roomba Lighthouse (if you have a model 530 or above), but if all you need is to limit how far the Roomba wanders before starting to look for its charger base, this is what you need. If you have several rooms to clean, you need a Lighthouse (at least with the 550 model) to mark the path back into the room with the charger. The on-off switch keeps you from draining the batteries, and if you remember to turn it off, they seem to last through a large number of Roomba cleaning cycles.

If you have a Roomba for cleaning, and you have a big space (the living room, the kitchen in the same place) is an ideal add on for it. In my case, at the beginning, I didn't have anything to divide the room, so the roomba goes out of battery before finish all the space. With the virtual wall, I can clean the house in segments, so the roomba can clean more efficient.

Just received two of these units and they worked very well with my Roomba 4000. A slight adjustment in placement within a door opening was necessary. As soon as the Roomba gets with a couple feet it stops and turns around. Very nice. I just have to remember to turn off units when not in use.

I did expect more from this Irobot, to me it is noise, and my persas carpets did not clean well leaving stuffs behind. I use on my second floor to clean the bedrooms, seems good to go undeer the bed.

Works as described. Program remote with current time. Send program to Roomba and Virtual Walls. And set Roomba on base and virtual walls where needed. Thanks it. Roomba came on at the correct time, and cleaned the room within the constraints of the walls.

It works well. Almost too well. The Roomba stays about 3 feet away from The virtual wall in all directions. A lot of floor space is left out from being cleaned. I decided to narrow the IR beem by reducing the whole size and covered the circular emitter on top of the Virtual wall. Now Roomba can get a few inches from the beem. If the mod didn't work, I think I'd have been dissappointed.

In stock form they are good to block a doorway. Modified, they are good for protecting furniture from Roomba bumping.
