iRobot Roomba 550 Robotic Cleaner

We love this machine so much that we named "her" Call-E. This is a wordplay on both Wall-E and our street address. Her mannerisms have made her part of the family.

She is so through and efficient. She finds things that we have lost or did not know we had. She wakes up at 8:00 AM every morning and goes about her chores.

I would recommend her to anybody because she is much better at getting into small spaces and under things than a human vacuumer. Don't forget to enpty her dustbin as it will be full!

Well what can I say - I like many was very sceptical about the Roomba which is otherwise known in our house as "Boomba" by my 14 month old baby girl. I initially bought it to keep on top of the toddler crumbs as my little one was crawling and finding every little crumb. I admit I was sceptical - but I need not have been - it is the best purchase I made in a long time. I would highly recommend purchasing this little wonder if you have a small child who loves to pick every little crumb off the floor.

It cleans very well. I have three surfaces in my home, bumpy tile, wooden floor and carpet. I must say "Boomba" adjusts very well to all surfaces.

I have watched this little machine in motion many a time and am still amazed how such a small machine can clean so well. Even when I think there is very little to pick up boomba finds more!

If you are interested in buying this then wait no longer, I would recommend without hesitation.

I had mine shipped to my home in Bermuda and now many of my friends are interested in purchasing one too.

If I had more tile in my house then I might invest in the floor washing one!

Go on buy it, you will be amazed how much time it saves you from pushing around the vaccum.

The roomba is great for set and forget house care. Strong enough to clean up after dogs and birds. its great.

We like, love the fact that it can be programmed to clean during the night, and it does a far better job than our Electrolux's. The only thing we do dislike is when it gets stuck somewhere and can't seem to figure out how to get loose. I bought this to help my mother with the cleaning, and it picks up much more dog hair than our other cleaners. I would recommend this to everyone!!!

i PURCHASED THE 550 MODEL (COSTCO PART NUMBER)BUT IS SIMILIAR TO THE 570. i HAVE WOOD AND TILE FLOORS.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! IT DOES A GREAT JOB ON THE HARD SURFACES, BUT BY THE END OF THE WEEK YOU STILL HAVE TO MOP TO GET THE LIGHT DUST THAT REMAINS. THIS IS FINE CONSIDERING I HAVE 2 LARGE DOGS THAT COME AND GO THROUGH THE DOGGIE DOOR. I WISH I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT THE PET MODEL, BUT FOR A FIRST TRY, I HAVE THE IDEA NOW WITH HOW IT WORKS.
ONE OF THE NEGATIVES IS THAT THE OUTSIDE SPINER BRUSH WILL KICK THE DIRT UNDERNEATH THE COUCH IF IT IS GOING IN THE WRONG DIRECTION. KEEP IN MIND, THIS UNIT IS NOT TOTALY FREE FROM HUMAN MAINTANINCE.
BOTTOM LINE, I PROBABLY HAVE SOLD AT LEAST 12 TO 15 UNITS FROM WORD OF MOUTH AND THEY FEEL THE SAME WAY.

I bought the Roomba for my Mother... She's 80 and was helping her sister who has cancer when she encountered the appliance. My Aunt had one and Mom was totally enthralled with how it ran around the apartment and cleaned. When she expressed the desire to own one, I had to get it. She NEVER wants anything electronic!!! It runs nicely and is very simple to operate. The only drawback that I can see is keeping after it under tables.

I LOVE MY ROOMBA. I HAD WANTED ONE FOR A WHILE NOW BUT WAS WORRIED ABOUT HOW MUCH THEY COST. THAT BEING SAID, IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH THE PRICE.

We love our Roomba, nicknamed Robbie in our family. I love the scheduling feature so that I can set it (very easy to set- like setting an alarm clock)and come home to a vacuumed house. Its like having a maid to see the vacuum lines on your carpet and not having done it!

It does a great job picking up crumbs and even fine dust. It does a smooth job transitioning from carpet to tile. After having Robbie (our roomba) vacuum for the first 7 days straight we had a significant difference in the amount he found to pick up. It even made my older carpet fluffier..it actually feels better to walk on!

The cleaning of the brushes are easy and again we have found its not necessary to do everyday after his initial week of cleaning. We clean the brushes about every 3 days and just dump the bin every day.

My two favorite features are the scheduling ability and the redocking of itself to charge at the end of its cleaning cycle. I would recommend anyone thinking of this for their house to spend the little bit more and get those features.

Overall we are thrilled over our purchase and would give the Roomba a 5 star recommendation to anyone! Ebay was a great place to find it at a great price.

works very well on all my diffrent floor types.As well it great for dog hair!! I think everyone needs one.

I recently purchased a Roomba IRobot 550 bagless vacuum for my mainly tile home and I love it! It goes under couches, and tightly around chair legs to get all spots. The vacuum cleans very close to corners as well! It sometimes drags cords around, but usually doesnt get stuck on them. It's easy to clean and I think it does a great job keeping the floor swept. Now all I need a scuba!

I love my new maid. I set it and I can do other things while it vacuums. With two pets in the house it was always a chore to keep the house clean. Now the roomba keeps the pet hair cleaned up. I am amazed how well this little thing works so effieciently.

Vacuum does an excellent job of cleaning and covering all areas and type floors. I would recommend this vacuum to anyone especially if pulling around a vacuum hurts. You just turn it on and let it run, when it is through an area or gets full it will dock its self and recharge.

i returned it to the seller because it was not working. it won't charge and it just give me an error5 message once i plug it. that is why i can not give you any permanent rating at this moment to the product.
