My 18 yr old son got one of these when they first came out. We paid 300 for it. It was found in couches, under the seats of cars, in heavy bookbags, used and abused and held up great till he lost it. Capacity is nearly unlimited. That is why I bought the exact same one, case is stainless steel, not a fragile plastic. Battery life is LONG. Unfortunately I cannot compare against any other ipod or MP3 only know this product is awesome
