eBay Powerseller Secrets by Brad Schepp (2004)

As you can see from my Me page http://members.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewUserPage&userid=harleyglasses I have read many eBay related books. This one tops my list for may reasons. Althought they are not powersellers, Brad and Deb don't pretend to have invented the information in their book, they start off by thanking all of the Powersellers and other professionals that contributed to the book. I might add that many are in the top 100 sellers on eBay and are members of PeSA, the Professional eBay Sellers Alliance. Brad and Deb have all the right connections :-)

This book is packed with information that you can use, The chapter introductions to sellers will motivate you. Brad and Deb's book encouraged me to start my own me page and helped develope processes that I use today. They are solid no bull writers that practice what they preach, I'm sure if they wanted to , with all the information they have gathered, they could be one of the top ten sellers on eBay, but you can definately tell when reading their books that their passion is writing about eBay and technology.

I can't wait for their next book, "eBay PowerSeller Million Dollar Ideas"

I've read some corny hashed together books on eBay and can honestly say Brad and Deb's is the best out there and that's why it sits on the #1 position on the book list on my Me page.

It was a good book on using Ebay for selling. I found this a very good review and check list type book. I did not find huge secrets, but it was very informational.

This is a great book for all ebay sellers. I start out as a buyer but now I am a seller. This book shows you how to sell. For this price you will receive some of the best information.

This is one of the best books I have read in a long time. He has a TON of information! I have learned so much from this book, I feel like I never really knew Ebay before this book!

I read this book cover to cover, and being an eBay Education Specialist I would highly recommends this book to anyone who is seriously thinking of selling on eBay.

Even if your goal is not to be a Powerseller, this book is packed full of information from cover to cover for anyone who wishes to sell!

I am an experienced eBay seller for over 6 years now, and I even learned a few things from this book myself. For example, I do use shredded paper for packaging supplies, but I never thought of taking the plastic bags my newspaper comes in, inflate them, and use them for padding as well!

If you are not familiar with how to use eBay, set up an account, etc. This is not the book for you. This book is written for people who know a little about how to use eBay, the book gives tips and strategies including some of the information you will need to get your business up and legal!

The only down side about this book is it's age. The reason: a few links they refer to on the Internet (not eBay links) no longer work, the listing fees quoted have changed on eBay over the years, and some of the cool tools we can now use on eBay were not around when they wrote this book.

I gave this book a 5 out of 5 judging it based on the date it was released. Judging it by today's standards I would give it a 4 - solely because the information it gives you is still very helpful and up to date, the only things that are outdated are listed above - but I still feel this book can b4e a great resource for your eBay library!

It is a book that teaches some good essentials. I liked the websites that they point out have inventory to sell. One of the biggest problems in selling online is to find a product that will bring you some monetary gain. It is difficult to find suppliers and wholesalers to do business with. They do provide websites, but even with these it is still difficult to find a solid provider of products to sell.

This book is a must read for anyone serious about building an eBay business. It is well researched and well written. Reading this book will help a new seller avoid common pitfalls and give them new creative ways to expand their eBay business quickly.

Plenty of specific examples show ideas being applied in the real world. As an added bonus it is very easy to reference, because it is well laid out.

The follow-up to this book "eBay Powerseller Million Dollar Ideas" is also fantastic and should be considered along with this book.

If you are interested in becoming an eBay powerseller, than this is the book for you. This book is loaded with valuable information to help you succeed on ebay. This book covers everything about selling, from shipping, to locating stock, to setting up auctions, to conversing with your buyers and any other topic you may be able to (or not even) think of.
I read this book with the thought (dream) of becoming a powerseller and this book taught me a very valuable lesson. At this time in my life, it just isn't possible. I don't have the time or resources to invest. However, without having read this book, I would be floundering right now.
Having said that; even as a non-powerseller, I found this book extremely helpful. I found links to nifty pages online regarding ebay and websites that are very helpful. I was given ideas about finding stock and how to give the most effective customer service.
The bottom line is that I loved this book and it was totally worth my time. As an added bonus: when I decided I was completely done with it, I sold it on ebay and recouped over 50% of the cost!

This is one of the best books about eBay selling that I have read so far. It dives right into the good stuff and doesn't poke around with the basics that most of us sellers already know. This is a must read for any eBay seller, small or large.

This eBay Powerseller Secrets is well written. It is a good source of information and one to keep handy as a reference tool. There's a total of 11 chapters - the eleventn being whether to open a store a store. The appendix includes a list of top sellers ranked by feedback. Keep in mind this book is now two years old and some of the top sellers have moved on. What is best of the book is the flow starting from Chapter 1 - getting to know yourself.
