im hooked and like every thing about it! it has been a long time since i enjoyed a game some much, great story, great graphics, tomb raider was the last time i got this hooked on a game this game is like colosses and laura croft in one game,

The story is good but the game just keeps repeating the same thing over and over again. It got very annoying. How many times do you have to kill the same group of enemies and cross a moving floor without falling off the edge. I don't understand why this game gets such high reviews.

Game was a a wonderfully low price!

Playing this really helps wash the troubles of the day away! There's nothing quite like pull apart an evil dead thingie to take the stress of the day and make it disappear.

This game has a very interesting plot. It's definately not for kids under 13 due to some... adult themes. Overall it's fun, and will make you use some strategic thinking.

My husband stayed up all nite long on his day off playing this. The copy we had was scratched, and he loved it so much that he had me buy one on ebay so he can finsh the game.

God of War 2 is better though.

I decided to buy this game followed by GOW 2, cause I heard alot of good reviews on this game and GOW 2 + I heard that there is going to be a GOW 3 for the PS3. So I went and bought and so far the game is good, nice gameplay, graphics and story. So after I beat both 1 and 2, I'll be ready for GOW 3 when it comes out just like I did with the Metal Gear Series. I would recommend this game to people if they like action/adventure games.

Great story line! Great action! Looking forward to buying the second in the series. Some nudity and graphic violence. Not for kids.

This is one of the best games ever to come out on PS2. The graphics are awesome and the story line is interesting. The moves you can do during battle are simply gratifying to execute. Addicting game.

One of the best adventure/action game in 2005. Great storyline and awesome and impressive cutscene and level graphics. This game took me by surprise. I haven't had this much fun with an adventure game in a while. Play it in easy mode, and you'll be able to finish game with very little problems, but the puzzles are still quite fun and challenging. Any harder mode, and you've got to really know your video gaming. Combo moves, puzzles, AWESOME BOSSES and you've got one of the best games this year.

This is one of the best hack and slash game that I've played in a very long time! The best thing that I loved about this is the story line I have to give props to the developers of this wonderful game with great graphics and a very easy to use controller settings, I would recommend this game to anybody!

I don't believe there has been any negative comment on this great game. I bought it for the price and knowing this will be a classic for years to come on the PS2 - and I am not disappointed!
The likes: great, great graphic that really put you into the mood. AI is good, so you can't just button mash to move forward, load time is virtually none! music is just first rated, adding to the overall feel to the game, control is excellent - very intuitive. I can really go and on... but you see the point!
The dislikes: Some puzzle isn't too hard, a tar below expectation compare to rest of the game, and of course with such a great it is just too short!
I really can't see why any PS2 owner wouldn't enjoy playing it, though yes it can be a bit bloody and violent warranting the mature rating. And there is a option to "soften" the content. But as a game I would definitely recommend to adults to buy and play.

God of War I & II is a great game for those with a little gaming experience. There are a lot of bosses & a lot of combo moves. This one will give you a challenge.

This is a great game and it is now very inexpensive....this is a must have and you should definitely play it...it took me a week to beat it playing it constantly and it was very fun and an all around great game...there were puzzle challenges in the game that really make you think and were just as good as the action and overall concept of the game...You won't be let down with God of War it was truly an experience

This game has it all a Great story line, Great Game Play, and Great Graphics. This is in my ranking Number 5 in the top Ten of PS2 games. This is well worth the money and will be a Classic Gamers will remember for a Long time to come. I find nothing wrong with this game in any area. This is a definite High replay value.

Dislikes: The cut scenes (can't skip it...), the God mode of the game is way too hard. I don't like how bloody the game is and that they show breast in the game.

I first saw this game over at a friends house. It was actually a game that you can stand sitting and watching someone play. I knew I had to have it after this. It is the best Playstation game I have ever played. The graphics are incredible. The story is very interesting. I highly recommend this game and can't wait for the second one to come out!!

Once I put the God of War in my PS2 i knew it was gonna be a classic game, and i turned out to be right. This game maybe be the best Action game in the market now. It's filled with side missions and action, great storyline and many more other great stuff. I would recommend this game to anyone who's an Action/Adventure type fan.

i love the graphics for this game it looks like an xbox game. the gameplay is great and flows well.
i would say this is the best game of the 3 current consoles but i would have to say that resident eveil 4 is better. but you need to own this game and you should probably pick up the guide becuz this game does get quite challenging.

The commercials for this game won me over.. I took a chance and bought it and Im glad I did. This game puts PS2 on the map (not that it's not already). NOt only is it easy to play but it makes you want to play more.. The storyline is done so well that you have to keep playing because you cant wait to hear more about the story. Not only are the controls easy but the graphics are amazing.. Usually with new games I get to a point where im stuck and cant get past so I end up giving up.. Not with this game.. I managed to figure out all the puzzles and get thru it. If you own a PS2 then you MUST own this game.
