Was difficult at first, but later on became nothing

This game was the first Medal of Honor on PS2, and was also the first game to be about WWII. This game gave several other gamers the opportunity to go back in the past and play a game acting like you were in WWII. It also looked like the movie "Saving Private Ryan" in the first mission.

  A great weekend Rental

This is a would not buy game but a great weekend rental only.
I got it on sale for the kids at one of those trade stores. They played it only a few times. They were disapointed in the game itself, scenery, how the guys move around, and what they could or could not do with the fighting. This would be good for a weekend rental only, and not a buy for a collection.

WWII in Game Form: Medal of Honor Frontline
Review created: 05/30/03
by: Mike_Bracken -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Incredibly cinematic.

Cons:
Still essentially an 'on rails' game.

It s become almost clich to say that the whole of something is occasionally greater than the sum of its parts, but like all clich s, it s only a clich because there s a grain of truth in it. Nowhere are clich and hyperbole more celebrated than in the field of game journalism. Gaming is a subculture that runs almost exclusively on hype every game is going to be the greatest game ever, and once it comes out, it s time to move on to anticipating the next big thing slated for release. As gamers, it almost seems as if we rarely slow down long enough to enjoy what we have we re in this constant...

Medal of Honor: Frontline PS2 - To kill a nazi
Review created: 06/22/02
by: Rock_On -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
gameplay, definitely has to be the game play; and the SOUND

Cons:
frame rate, controls take a bit of getting use to because of the sensitivity

INTRO: When I went into Blockbuster one day while me mum went into Wal-Mart, I was going to get Medal of Honor: Frontline, but they were out so I got a ticket stub that allowed me to get it free whenever it came in. Well of course I eventually got it and went home to play it. I had only but played about 5 minutes of the original Medal of Honor on the Playstation, and I didn t really enjoy it that much. PLOT/STORY: You are a twenty-four year old Lieutenant in the Air Transport Corps named James Bon... er, Patterson, who was shot down as he was flying his C-47 troop transport through bad...

  Saving Ryan's Privates...er, Private Ryan (TGS W/O)

Pros:
The feel of World War II's realism factor doesn't get any better but here.

Cons:
Not much.

War is hell kid. The life of a soldier is never pretty. But somehow, Electronic Arts always seems to make it appear glamorous at its best in their ongoing Medal of Honor franchise since the first game debuted on the PlayStation in 1999. Medal of Honor: Frontline is the second sequel in the franchise to appear on a Sony system, and by far, it is the best yet of what you will ever experience in the backdrop of World War II's historical outlook. June 6, 1944 -- D-Day: a date to remember, and the point in time where you actually start out within Frontline, in the invasion on Omaha beach. Your...

  You Don't Play, You Volunteer
Review created: 07/12/02

Pros:
Near flawless presentation of WWII and its locations, well-crafted music, intense action

Cons:
Initial control settings, no multiplayer modes, rather short

Intro: Medal of Honor (MOH), released for the Playstation in 1999, brought WWII into gamers living rooms and faithfully created all the aspects of war. It s been a while since Electronic Arts has produced a MOH game for a home console. Fortunately, for Playstation 2 owners the wait has been well worth it. Medal of Honor: Frontline is the newest addition to the series, and it packs an explosive punch! You assume the role of Lt. James Patterson. Yes, he s back in full form and ready to take on the Nazi regime. This time around, MOHF presents gamers with new landscapes and improved gameplay...

Metal Of Honor Frontline: Saving Private Ryan For The PS2
Review created: 06/07/02
by: pavona21 -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
-Audio, First Mission, WW2 Depicted Well.

Cons:
-Framerate, Controls, Replay Value.

Video Games And School? At the end of the school year, it's easier than ever for me to get myself too caught up in studying for final exams, and nearly go crazy. Spend an hour studying for my biology final, then move onto to Math, Spanish comes next, and finally History shows itself. And this year, being as though I'm taking a US History course, and am very interesting in the topics, I've had to learn a thing or two about World War 2. Yeah, that's that one war that a few of you out there may have heard of. Whether we like it or not, WWII was one of the most brutal, sophisticated, and...
