Back to the Beach (2004, DVD)

About 10 years ago, my mom told me that I just had to see this movie that she rented. Now when my mom usually says this, I have to roll my eyes because, well to put it mildly, her taste in movies sucks. However, for once she had me watch a movie that was enjoyable. The movie was Back To The Beach.

Back To The Beach originally premiered in 1987. It stars Frankie Avalon, Annette Funicello, Connie Stevens, Demien Slade, Lori Laughlin, and Tommy Hinkley. While Back To The Beach does not have a fantastic storyline, it is enjoyable to watch. There is a lot of singing, a lot of ribs at the actors, and many cameo appearances by some of past music and televisions stars including Don Adams, Dick Dale, and OJ Simpson.

Back To The Beach is the story of the 60 s teeny bopper s Frankie and Annette from the beach movies (Beach Party, Muscle Beach Party, Bikini Beach, How To Stuff A Wild Bikini, and Beach Blanket Bingo) in present day. Here they are twenty years later, married, living in the suburbs with a juvenile delinquent for a son and a daughter who is secretly living with her boyfriend in Los Angeles. When Annette and Frankie decide to take a vacation and make a small tour in LA to visit their daughter, that s where the problems start and the fun begins. Overall, Back To The Beach is a good movie with far acting and some good laughs.

Folks, if you are looking for a movie that has some laughs, lots of singing, and some cameos from some very interesting stars, then Back To The Beach is the movie for you to see. If you don t find movies that are silly entertaining, avoid this one at all cost because this movie is more silly than serious. I, personally, don t think you really have to be fond of nostalgia to really get a kick out of this movie of course, this is just my Epinion
