I Am Legend (2008, DVD)

This movie is now one of my favorite movies by Will Smith. He does a stunning job, and makes this movie believable. A must own for any movie lover.

I disliked the short movie, it Could have been longer.
The film needed more details of why, what and when.
The film didn't make me feel or think about the human race.
The film did make me think about the sub-humans mutated by the virus.
Action was good, but some action made no sense. It was action for actions sake.
I bet there will be a legend two.
The special effect were good too.
the ending was lame, very lame. The ending made me think why did I watch the film??

This movie seemed like it would be good. Big name star, high dollar production, interesting plot, but when you sit down to watch it you find yourself thinking that you misssed something. This movie seems like a cliff notes version, only giving you a taste of what you should know. The movie hints around at what happened in certain situations, but it doesnt give enough information to satisfy most people's taste. Watching this movie is like going to Costco and trying to get full eating the little trial snacks they offer, you just never feel satisfied. Then at the end, we get a rude, abrupt ending that will annoy just about anyone who watches "I am Legend". I won't spoil it for those who haven't seen this movie, but I know you will feel the same way as you are watching the credits. (IF you get that far...)
I am Legend is average at best. Wait for it to come to cable.

Wow! excellent movie, will Smith at his finest!. I am just glad i didn't go to a movie theatre to watch it as i jumped out of my seat a few times just watching it at home.

This is a great movie, will smith as an actor shows more depth and ability as a character. This movie has a great story line and great effects the zombies are sub par , but there zombies so a little bit off imagination is to flow in that department. Overall this is a great movie and would recommend it to rent and buy.

Well it starts off ok and then it gets exciting. This movie is full of suspense and omg the action is off the hook. Its totally worth every penny when you buy it.

Great movie --- the same premise as Omega Man or Vincent Price's Last Man on Earth

Will Smith shines -- extras are great, especially the animated comics

I Am Legend is a great movie, knew it since I saw the trailers specially since the infected are brutal. The infected are like a cross between zombies and vampires since they will eat human flesh,animals & can only come out at night or the sunlight will kill them. they're also smart and capable of making traps like the one they did for Will Smith, they're fast & strong and very very angry.I would classify this movie in the zombie,horror,sci-fi genre.Awesome Movie!

I bought it because i love this movie. A+++++++ I bought the movie about 2 weeks ago and when i got it in the mail i was so happy.

I Am Legend is a modern adaptation of the Omega Man. A very entertaining and thought provoking film, however, it lacks some of the intensity that was present in the movie trailer. One of the more interesting pieces of the movie is when you see the Gas prices displayed at 6$ a gallon... doesn't seem too far off now does it? With the majority of the film containing only Will Smith and his dog it doesn't lack emotion or ambition. I could highly recomend this film to any fan of the Sci-Fi genre, but as i said, i expected a little more intensity from the previews. Still a great movie.

I am Legend is a remake based on a book by Richard Matheson that was released in 1954. There have been two other movies called The Last Man on Earth and The Omega Man that have also been based on this book.

The main draw of this movie is the strength of Will Smith's acting. For the majority of the movie it is Will and his dog! You'll love it!

The idea behind the book is that a cure for cancer has been given to humanity. It was created by Smith's character. However, the cure ends up acting like a cancer that turns humans into basically vampire like creatures. There are only a small number of humans that are immune, and they are hunted by the viral humans.

Smith's character is immune and he spends the majority of the movie testing a cure.

Smith's acting is excellent. You get to see how 1 person alive in New York would react.

I love the movie but I also found the theater ending a bit preachy in a religious way. However, the alternate ending was better on the DVD. :)

I AM LEGEND tells us of a man whos immunity to a airbourne type of virus made by man that was supposed to help us, turned astray and nearly wipes out the whole human race. His immunity sends him into a sort of insanity being without human contact for over 3 years. His dog, Sam, is his best friend. His only friend.

I LOVE the storyline here. It tells of what I think really would happen if a virus got out among civilians and what drastic moves the military would take to contain it.

The computer graphics on the other hand could've been better. The mustang driving through the city at the beginning of the movie was totally cheap. The deer running through the streets and the lions hunting the deer seemed like they came from a Discovery Channel documentary.

The monsters (infected people) where better looking than most of the other animation on the film, but it think they should've used real actors in makeup for most of the scenes.

I was going to give this film an "excellent" rating, but the animation didn't quite make par, so it was knocked down to "good"

Remember, this is only MY opinion. I urge you to watch the movie yourself to make your own judgement...

I hate to be point blank, but the minute the demon like characters come on, I turned it off. I love just about every type of movie and enjy many that others don't care for, but this one takes the cake. I liked Will Smith until now. Very strange with demonic like creatures-yes, I know they were once human, but come on.

Not one boring minute in the entire movie. Kept us on the edge of our seats and contstant story line.

I have wanted to see that movie since it came out. This is the time. The movie is one of the best movies ever. It is very powerful. Will Smith is very good in this movie. I liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiike it sooooooooooooooooooo much.

The dvd works, but it was missing the extra ending scene. its a really good movie. the dvd case was computer generated

The ending was horrible. It was like just a dead stop. I was like, "That's it?". Yuck! I feel I was robbed. I want my 100 minutes back. =( Don't get me wrong, Will Smith was great! It wasn't him...it was the movie. Bad Ending. Rent it before you decide whether to buy it....I beg you. There better be a sequel!

It's a great movie and came in great condition. I originally saw this movie at the theatre and had to buy it. I would of course like to buy the blu ray but i don't have a blu ray player..yet

I think MR. Smith did a great job as robert neville, the slow progression into madness. although I wanted the movie to follow the origional story written by Richard Matheson alot closer. Where was Ben Cortman? i enjoyed the movie, not dissapointing at all. Ive only seen it five times. P.S. check out the Vincent Price classic Last man on earth.
