The first few times I swung this driver, I hooked the ball into the trees and began to wonder if this was good club for me. Then I slowed down, checked my grip and how the club was coming through the ball on contact and realized that my grip was too strong on this club and the face was coming through the ball slightly closed. I weakened my grip just a touch and found the groove.
The 9 degree loft and 46 inch shaft on my model made for some long drives in the 250-275 yard range, while the weight distribution on the square head seemed to dampen any wild slices or hooks. I like the rough finish on the shaft and the zippered head cover which makes it easy to remove and replace the cover on the huge 460cc head.
I even kind of like the "bombs away" sound this club makes when you hit the ball in its gigantic sweet spot.
