Dyson DC18 Allergy Bagless Upright Vacuum

Love my vacuum. My husband and I fight who is going to vacuum next. You will be entirely grossed out the first time you clean the tank because you won't believe the amount of dirt it sucks up even if you vacuum all the time like we do. It is easy to store and easy to use. We had done our research on a good vacuum, someone told us to look into a Dyson. I hear if you have pets it is great, we don't have pets but we have two kids. Now I am totally comfortable with them on the floor. Definitely recommend.

After extensive researching several brands and models, I chose the DC 18. The day it arrived, I put it to the test. We have a combination of hardwood, tile, and carpeted floors and the vacuum performed flawlessly. The rotating ball took a bit of getting used to, but now I really like the way it handles around objects and corners. The household air actually smells cleaner than before vacuuming - amazing! Though this DC 18 is the lighter weight, slim model it's still fairly heavy. That said, I really had no problem pushing it around the house. I love the way the dust bin empties; I just took it out to the trash and pushed the button. The difference between the Dyson and our prior vacuum (a Hoover Elite upright), is like night and day. This Dyson is definitely worth the $$! I only with we had bought it sooner. :-)

Professional cleaners need a vacuum that is light enough to load and unload, has attachments that can be readily accessed, and can clean up animal hair quickly and efficiently. I have used just about every vacuum made, and this one is the best! It's twice the weight of the Oreck or the Riccar, but I can clean a floor in much less time. The only drawback is that it tends to tip over, but I make it a point to stand it up next to a wall or couch, and always make sure that it won't fall on glass or fragile items. My customers are really happy with it. One of them told me it looked like her carpets had just been cleaned. I wish the company would allow those of us who use it all day, to be authorized dealers. I could sell one to each one of my clients. They love it, and so do I.

It's the best vacuum I've ever used; you wouldn't believe the dirt it gets up. I highly recommend any Dyson product!

If looking for a vacuum look NO MORE! Don't waste your money on anything else! I purchased mine (on Ebay!) and it is the best! I have allergy's of dust, mold and mites ~ and animals! THIS Dyson does the job. Every vacuum is a DEEP CLEANING! It picks up everything in site! Having a see through cylinder I am amazed each and every time I use it and how much this vacuum picks up! The attachments are very easy to use so you will use them with the Dyson. I can't say enough about this vacuum. Easy to navigate and priced right ~

I still want it. I live in a rural area where there is no shopping> I am waiting to see if I can still get it.

I like the fact that it deep cleans I vacum once a week, and it picks up the same amount of dust that it did the time before, and I have a pretty clean house so I thought. My wife has allergies, and she does'nt complain about headaches like she used to. It's light, and you never have to touch any of the debris you just push a lever and out comes the dirt, and oh yea did I say the suction power is incredible hoover sux comapared to the Dyson will never buy another brand, I am sold. Talked my Mother into buying one and a friend. Dyson ROCKS

I love the weight, low sound, and it pulls up the dog and cat hair up so well, I don't have it fly around the house or lodge in carpet like it did with the previous vacuum.
The filter is easy to use as well as the attachment.
I haven't any complaints about this product.
I bought it by the suggestion of a friend.

I was very disappointed with this purchase. The seller did not ship the product and did not inform me of an issue related to fire at the manufacturer until I had requested a tracking number a week after purchasing. I pride myself on customer service as a seller on eBay and inform my customers every step of the way when an issue pops up. I ended up canceling the order and requested a refund. I noticed that on the seller feedback profile that I was not the only one that the seller had done that to.

This is in no way a reflection on eBay, in my eyes. eBay is an incredible market place where sellers like this one eventually do themselves in.

We were scammed by somebody with 99 percent positive feedback, maybe a hack.
Anyway we went thru all the directions for lodging a complaint with ebay, but didn't hear from you yet! Its been over a month....we cannot even get you over the phone. If you value your business and reputation, please respond ASAP to resolve this issue.

I researched long and hard before buying my Dyson Slim. I've been shocked at the amount of dirt and carpet fiber the dyson picks up from every room. My home is a year old and I was seeing carpet fibers all over the place. They were probably in my nose and lungs too! My Eureka (cheapy bought years ago) simply was not doing the job and is now in the hands of a student. I've been very pleased with the dyson. The price I got it for on e-bay was better than any other place, though the shipping was a whopping $50. Still expensive, but I hope not to have to ever buy another vacuum. I'm also glad I don't have to buy any more vacuum bags. The easy dumping system from the dyson see-through canister into my own throw-away plastic bag is relatively clean. I really like the swivel action of the head and it really is lightweight. The suction is superb, thus the huge amount of muck it's pulling out of my carpet. The slim compact design fits my style really well. I like efficiency and the engineers' thought into the compactness of the accessories was outstanding. My friends are even borrowing it. Overall, so far I'm glad I bought the Dyson.

This has to be the best vacuum cleaner I have ever used. I converted from a Hoover to the Dyson, and have not looked back. It is so light, and so incredibly powerful. The same areas that I would have to go over two or three times with the Hoover, I was able to clean with the first pass of this vacuum. It really cleans, combs and sucks the dirt out of the carpet. I also happen to have very bad allergies, and this vacuum has been a godsend. Each time I pass the vacuum, I am amazed to see that it has sucked out more dirt and hair, even after I was positive that the place was spotless.

The Dyson Slim is a work of art -- every component, down to the instructions manual -- is beautifully constructed. Great suction, and not too noisy. Very expensive, though, which makes it a treat rather than a necessity.

bought this dyson model after 5 other vacuum cleaners died on me since i moved in with my husband. since i am petite, i chose the dyson slim for ease of use although it is still a bit heavy when you move around edges. i am happy with it so far. my area rugs are good as new! you don't realize how much dust and dirt you have in your house until you get a dyson! good price, fast and reliable shipping from a great seller!

This vacuum is extremely easy to use and does a great job cleaning floors and carpet. I'm so used to large, bulky vacuum cleaners that make lots of noise that at first I wasn't sure if the DC18 was doing a good job cleaning. One look at the canister erased that thought! This is the best vacuum I've purchased among the many "name" brands I've owned in the past.

I bought this Dyson DC 18 model of Vacuum cleaner a little over month ago, It was simple enough to assemble all the bits of pieces and parts. I found it very easy to use and very powerful. It was so powerful, it picked up so much dirts which I did not know I had. For that reason I am very happy to have this vacuum cleaner with me and it is keeper ! One thing that I am not sure is that vacuum cleaner is little heavy side and it is all plastic construction.

I love this vaccuum! Easy to use. Lightweight. I really like how you can see how much dirt you are picking up.

I am one of those people who have MAJOR allergies, normally with any other vacuum I have to wear a mask to use it , but with the dyson I can vacuum without one! My apt has carpet throughout and I know it'
s loaded with dust mites etc, but I've already noticed I'm breathng a lot easier, and not coughing nor sneezing as much, I vacuum my matress and pillows once week, and I know I will eventually be dust free. My daughter bougt a new kirby, it's selfpropelled, extremely heavy, and I feel as if my Dyson does a better job of cleaning. enis Ingold

like all the other reviews, this is an excellent vacuum and well worth the money if you have allergies like my daughters and I do. Everything I could say about it has been said. I have a Bissell model I keep on the upper level of our home and it works well but I can tell a great deal in the suction of the Dyson. My favorite is i found it in "pink" which is for a limited time only!!! Love it!!!

We bought this vacuum cleaner for better cleaning on carpet, hardwood and cleanup with pet shedding.
The vacuum works great, very fast and easy to use. The hose feature and swivel head are excellent features.
The filter system removes easily, but to get it completely clean one has to break it down to get to the filter itself. This took a while to figure out.

It is expensive but worth every penny. We live in Florida and our entire house has tile floors. This picks up everything off the tile without shooting it around. It is also lightweight and easy to manuver. Love it!

Fantastic performance. The vac is lightweight, maneuvers easily and has tremendous suction. Since it is lightweight, it's very easy to pick up and use on stairs.

The only downside is the noise. Wow - it's really bad. Much worse than other vacuums I've owned. However, the superior suction power is well worth throwing on some ear protection.

Noise aside, I'm a huge fan. This replaces a Hoover Wind Tunnel - self propelled. I had vacuumed the whole house the day before my new Dyson Slim arrived. Though I didn't think I needed to vacuum again, I was curious to check out the Dyson's performance. After seeing how much dirt it sucked up out of an area rug, I quickly revacuumed the whole house. I have to say, I was a little grossed out thinking about how much dirt my Hoover had left behind for all these years.

I think this may be the best vacuum I have ever purchased (and I have purchased a few). It is extremely lightweight. It maneuvers easily, under and around furniture. It transitions easily from carpet to hardwood floors. Most importantly it picks up everything!
