Pros:
Eye candy, eye candy, eye candy...oh and the story line is good too!

Cons:
nothing

I would leave my husband for George Clooney. Yeah you heard me right. George doesn t know that, and neither does my husband (so keep this info to yourselves please, what my husband doesn t know, won t hurt him) Clooney s been at the top of my hotty list for many years now. And frankly I could care less what a movie s about (i.e. Batman) ...if he s in it; I see it. Period. No questions asked. And I m not ashamed to admit it s purely for eye-candy on my part. I just love to look at him!

So when the whisper started about this amazing star-studded movie that George was putting together, I knew I d be standing in the theater line to see it. And that I was. Last night!

The Product:
Ocean s 11 is a remake of a very famous film created in the 1960 s, which featured some of the most famous actors of the time. The Rat Pack. Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. and Sinatra just to name-drop a little bit. But Clooney takes the premise of the movie and puts a modern day twist to it.

He fills his movie with big, big, big names. I have yet to see a movie with so many big names in it. A movie that touts names like Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Julie Roberts and Andy Garcia better tote the line as far as story goes. And this movie does!

Daniel Ocean (Clooney) finds himself on parole from jail and alone. His wife left him because he s a thief and a liar. He wasn t out of jail 24 hours before he had a new plan. A plan to heist the biggest, richest casinos in Vegas...all three of them. And all are owned by one man, Terry Benedict (Garcia). The man who s sleeping with Ocean s ex-wife. So as you can see Ocean, or as his friends call him, Danny, has a bone to pick with Benedict. To the tune of $160,000,000. "You do the math." Benedict is a very powerful man, not only in Vegas. He has lots of money and lots of thugs to back him up if he s even looked at cross-eyed.

Ocean creates this plan to lift the money from the tome of a safe 200 feet underground. He organized ten men to help him do it. Rusty Ryan (BRAD PITT), Linus Caldwell (MATT DAMON), Basher Tarr (DON CHEADLE), Reuben Tishkoff (ELLIOTT GOULD, Virgil (CASEY AFFLECK), Turk (SCOTT CAAN), Frank Catton (BERNIE MAC), Saul Bloom (Carl Reiner), Livingston Dell (EDDIE JEMISON), Yen (SHAOBO QIN). All these men make up the eyes, ears, muscles, fingers and brains of the job. Alone, each is nothing more than riff-raff, but together, they are going to try and pull off the biggest casino swindle ever.

Now we can t forget the big chick name in the movie now can we? Included in the expensive cast is none other than Julia Roberts. Don t get too excited. Even though she s a big draw to the movie by name alone, she s not seen very much. A surprise since the plot of the movie is based almost purely around her. Her name is Tess and she s plays a diva very well.

My Experience:
I love girl s night out. A little dinner, a little shopping and finally a late movie. The perfect end to a night out without hubby and the children. Every mom needs to do this once in a while, and my girlfriend and I try and do this once a month at the very least. As soon as we saw previews to Ocean s 11, we knew we d be taking in this chick flick together. I know she d leave her husband for Brad Pitt (Sheesh, what red-blooded woman wouldn t?), and as you know, Clooney is my honey. So this was a perfect movie in our eyes. Who cared what it was about? But what a wonderful surprise to see a movie that was not only filled with great actors, but with a great story line. Not to mention unpredictable! Ocean s 11 has more twists than a Twizzler stick. It s not Oscar material, but it s a darn good movie.

And you can t possible describe this movie without talking about the eye-candy. WOW is the only word to describe it! Brad Pitt and George Clooney had a wonderful chemistry on screen. Much better than the chemistry between Julia Roberts and George Clooney. But that might be because I don t want another woman having chemistry with my man. But setting that aside, they (Julia and George...yes, we re on a first name basis) was strained. They looked like they were trying not to laugh at each other in each of their scenes. Like they were keeping an inside joke together.

But Julia did have decent chemistry with Andy Garcia. I d like to see them in another movie together. She just needs to stay away from my George. Pitt was nothing more than great, and it s not because he makes your mouth water with his good looks either. He and George made a great duo and they really need to work on screen together again soon. I read Merlot s epinion on Ocean s 11 yesterday before I went to the movie, and she mentioned that Brad Pitt eats a lot (and licks his fingers) during the movie. And she was right! It was pretty fun to watch. You know, it s that whole jaw clenching thing going on! Very seductive.

Over all, the acting in the movie was just great. Even some of the names I d never heard of before did an outstanding job! I especially liked the Malloy brothers, Virgil (CASEY AFFLECK) and Turk (SCOTT CAAN), expert auto mechanics and drivers. They were hilarious! They worked well as comedy relief, and my friend and I found ourselves the only ones in the theater laughing when they were on screen. As a matter of fact, we were the only ones laughing a majority of the time. We often wonder why we re the only ones who find movies hilariously funny?

Big cast, coupled with suspense, twists and superb eye-candy make this movie a must see. Like I mentioned before, it s not an Oscar contender, but it s just an all around good movie. Both for men and women. Don t let the attractive males in the movie scare your boyfriend/husband from going to see it. It s definitely a guy movie with something to look at for the women.

Just a couple extras to talk about. The only sex in the movie is at a strip club and they show a little seductive booty dancing, it s not the emphasis of the scene, just background. And I believe there s only a handful of swear words. There s only one scene with guns in it, but there s no blood. Well other than Clooney getting a bloody lip...my poor baby. I ll be happy to kiss it and make it all better.

Other than that, it was a very clean movie. Definitely for kids over 13, but I don t think they d be interested in it. It s much more of an adult story line, as there are no half-naked cheerleaders, race cars or beer.

For general audiences it s a great flick!
