This is an amazing dvd collection that everyone must buy. It shows you things about our planet that I bet you've never seen before. A must especially for teaching your kids about the wonders of our planet.

Amazing documentary that is 1000 times the experience of National Geographic and Jacque Cousteau. An awesome first-hand look at animals in there natural habitat without the outside influence of film makers or scientists. Landscapes that remind us of the grandeur and overwhelming beauty of our world. The never-seen-before footage is shot with new technology in a resolution that is as sharp as the naked eye. My mother, father, daughter and I sat down to watch the first segment of DVD #1 and ended up watching the entire DVD. We were all completely awestruck by the breath-taking beauty of the world we so often take for granted. This DVD series reminds us that there are vast areas of our world that are free of us. It's a treasure that comes in an easy to view format that can be enjoyed over and over again. Best of all, somehow I managed to get this set a quite a steal.

everything was fine except the plastic ring in the middle was broken, maybe from shipping, so the two of the CD's are sliding around

Fantastic! This was truly a work of art... and I would love to see it in HD! An amazing look at the earth like I hadn't seen it. It really makes me want to travel and see it in person. But this was a good substitute for the travel costs... a bit of adventure from the living room.

This is a great documentry for your collection. Very entertaining, but still educational. Perfect to show your children of all ages.

I bought this DVD collection to use as an educational resource for my first-grade class to view near the end of the school year. It correlated nicely with the end of our unit on Earth and its different terrains. I think my students really enjoyed watching the scenes of wildlife the best based on their comments. The beautiful vistas from different regions of the globe was a wonderful addition to what had already been introduced in the classroom. My family and I enjoyed watching this DVD collection as well and would endorse buying it.

Great very beautiful super good for kids in school. It can be a bit droning at times so sometimes it is better for getting kids to sleep but we really loved the caves episode.

This is one of the best collections of Earth photographs I have ever seen..Although it takes hours and hours to see the whole series...It has been carefully made and it`s obvious that great expence went into making this series.
It`ll keep you interested from start to finish...Hats off to the photographers who filmed this series...they endured much hardship and suffering.

My wife loves nature shows and this series is the top of the heap to date. I'm not sure what the David Attenborough vs. Sigorney Weaver natration means, but this one was more readily available. On an upconverting DVD player, it is simply amazing. It's hard to imagine that Blu-Ray is significantly better.
