The Departed (2007, DVD)

This is one of the best movies I have seen in years! Absolutey and must buy for anyone interested. The "tour-de-force" cast delivers.

Probably the best remake ever. It even surpasses the original in some aspects, though the original is still better. Definitely worth buying.

Good movie, the problem was it had a Chinese Sub Titles under the movie and that became a distraction, seller never mention this when bought on ebay, watch out, crooks.

The DVD-The Departed was one of the best DVD's I ever purchased. Being in my top five favorite movies, I was happy to buy it. The DVD was in perfect condition and was brand new. Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Mark Walberg were phenominal.

I loved the actors and the plot and, of course, the Director. I did not like the way it ended, it was a very violent movie. I bought it because I had heard good reviews and this was before it won the best picture award. I don't care to go to movies, especially when they are out on DVD's in such a short time.

THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES I'VE SEEN IN A LONG TIME. I AM NOT A FAN OF LEONARDO DE CAPRIO AT ALL BUT EVEN STILL THIS WAS A GREAT MOVIE. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I'm not a huge Dicrapio fan but he was fantastic in this movie. It is an all star cast. I could feel his frustration and stress, you really get caught up in this one. The song comfortably numb is the best song for a movie since Top Guns -Lost that Loving feeling. Can't say enough about this one.

This is a great story line with really great stars. It keeps you wondering if they are ever going to find the mole. It is one of the best movies I've seen in years.

The movie was awesome. However, the only problem was that the DVD skipped certain parts of the movie. It was unfortunate, but it may have been that the DVD was dirty and needed some cleaning. All in all I loved the movie. I will recommend more customers to purchase from you in the future and I will continue to do the same.

No wonder it won for Best Picture 2006, the acting list is Hollywood's who's who's, and the dvd has alot of extra features.

Unfortunately, I had to buy this someplace else because the Ebay seller I bought this from STIFFED ME. But, this is an excellent movie, very fast paced and the acting....WOW. Awesome.

The movie never came home
although I paid for it on time (money order), I didn't think it would be a problem not to be using paypal, know I will never buy again withoutt using paypal.

I was very happy with this purchase. I decided to purchase it when I read the description and the price. It was worth it. It was brand new, as described, and I have had no problems with the product.

I bought this movie as a gift for my mother, who had mentioned that she would like to see it. I thought it quite odd, as she usually prefers musicals.

I watched it several times before shipping it on to her & enjoyed it immensely.

It's one of those that should be watched more than once in order to grasp all the content.

Jack Nicholson was in rare form & actually acted, as opposed to simply raising an eyebrow & coming up with a catch phrase.

The 'head shots' were realistic & not for the faint of heart - or stomach.

I wasn't on the edge of my seat for the entire show, but you'll sit up & cock your head in intrigue more than a few times. There was some humor that was bordering on morbid, but well executed & evoking more than light chuckles.

I saw the original Hong Kong film a last year. It was an original story and the actors were recognizable. I usually find that the originals are always better. However, Scorcese has tweaked the story a little and casting with Academy Award-winning actors has made this much better than the original. DiCaprio pulls off the tough guy character well thanks to his personal trainer. At first, I thought he wouldn't fit, but I was wrong. Overall, great storyline, acting, cinematography, and better ending.

I was happy with the purchase and the quick delivery of the movie. Although, I paid with Pay Pal, I registed my credit card with them on the last week of February, very soon after I had that credit card number stolen on March 2th and 4th, they charged it online. So I extremelly unhappy with pay pal, evidently some one took it from there, since it was my last purchase.

I know what you're all thinking. Finally, something new! Maybe this'll actually be helpful to me. And I think it will.

This movie directed by Martin Scorsese, stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Matt Damon as Billy Costigan and Colin Sullivan, both men serving undercover. One working for the Irish-American mafia as a cop and the other a cop working for the department as a criminal. Both men become aware that there is a "rat" in their midst and are charged to sniff the mole out. They both work or pretend to work for Frank Costello, played by Jack Nicholson. Martin Sheen, Mark Wahlberg, and Alec Baldwin play cops trying to put Costello away once and for all. Things really get escalated and both main characters find things aren't always what they seem.

Matt Damon is the perfect poster boy for his role as the guy who gets all the promotions, charms everyone, and gets ahead in life but is really a rat on the inside. He has such a winning personality that everyone just wants to believe him. But the guy you really want to root for is Leonardo DiCaprio, the guy who has never had it easy, and has always had all the odds stacked against him and persecution like crazy, particularly from Mark Wahlberg. He's dubbed a failure and put in prison to get a reputation and thrown out on the streets again to get recruited ultimately by Costello. He goes through so many hardships and injuries and emotional turmoil while Matt Damon checks out the view from his upper class apartment and shags his new therapist girlfriend. The parallels from their lives are so facinating to watch, even if it does go a step too far with them both pursuing the same woman.

Jack Nicholson is crazier than ever. He beats, kills, does all that mafia stuff. Starts to really come unhinged and just walks around with blood on his hands. Gets a little careless and both main characters have to jump through hoops to protect him. I have to say all the roles in this movie were well played. Particularly Leonardo DiCaprio, you just really had sympathy for what he had to do to try and earn a little respect that no one will ever know about.

I was really into this plot all the way till the last fifteen minutes or so. I don't want to put any spoilers out here, let's just say a lot of people got shot in a very short period of time with no premeditation or recovery time. I still think this was a pretty good movie, but falls a little short of spectacular due to the confusing ending. All in all, I still liked it. It gets an A-. I'm expecting to see some nominations out of this one.

The movie was entertaining. Good story, but one that I felt I have seen many, many times. Enjoyed the acting.

This was an amazing story! I love movies that keep making you guess and never knowing what is coming next. Lots of twists and turns. Great actors. Great story! This is a must see for any adult.

Martin Scorsese did finally win the Oscars for ``The Departed." The movie's too hard, too pulpy -- too good" and WOW the other supporting cast, having them all in a movie this good, well that is almost an impossibility but it was. A lot of other older movies with as great of cast as this one fell short, not this one it was totally awesome and pushed the limits of the evelope and still remained great. At times you don't know how the bad guy's from the good guys, which as great in keep this lively and moving with little to no slowing down. For any ganster fan or good movie buff, this is a must own movie, so GO OUT AND GET IT!!!!

MY HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION and as we know MOVIE OF THE YEAR
