The Secret by Rhonda Byrne (2006)

I received this book as a birthday gift from my sister and loved it. It helped me to face a lot of things that were happening in my life in a different light. I would suggest it as a must read for anyone.

I purchased this book to give to a very good friend because I felt that he would also enjoy it.

I absolutely love this book. I have really been reading it slowly and putting the principles into practice as I go along. I can tell you that I feel better than I ever have in my life. My husband and I are really enjoying each other and I am getting what I ask for.
I believe that everyone is put on this earth to learn something. I now feel that learning to use these principles and applying them daily to my life has made me into a better person and spouse. I am going to give this book to several of my friends for holidays and birthdays because I want them to have the opportunity to become happier people. Jackie

BIBLE"... This book was recommended to me by a very close friend. It is an excellent read and after time, will change your way of thinking about things. I look forward to putting the principles to work in my life and to see what manifests. Everyone is looking for ways to improve their way of life, whether it is money, health, love or career. Even if you get only one thing from this book, it will have proved a point and was worth your time to read. While reading, I am reminded that some things are God sent too for those that believe and pray. I will read it again!

This book is grossly overated. It just talks about the one basic "secret" principle over and over. Nothing interesting about it. I agree that it promotes good habit of thinking good thoughts and staying positive. However, this similar principle can be read in other more interesting books with more substance. I was so fed up after I read about 1/3 through it although I did read through the book (since it only takes less than an hour to finish). It just kept repeating the same principle over and over, without explaining it further. It was a joke. I mean I'm not very familiar with the author but there is hardly an introduction to her mentioned on the book either. She supposedly came across this incredible "secret" just one day by reading a book???, come on. If you'd like books that promotes positive thinking, try something by Joel Austin or some one you can relate and trust.

I read "The Secret" and felt so uplifted! I was brought up in a Christian atmosphere and after getting out on my own and having my own family, dealing with pressures of life, I had lost touch with what it felt like to really believe in something and to be positive about things. I am so glad this book came along, it gave me new insight and renewed my past beliefs and changed my attitude toward everything. I highly recommend this book, but you really have to put into practice what it's about and that's not always easy, it can be a challenge. If anyone can think of a negative thing to say about this book, then go figure! I read it through more than once and I won't part with my copy.

I love this book! I love all the very simple knowledge that's in this book! It teaches one how to think positive thoughts instead of dreading your life! As simple as it sounds, to me it was a real eye-opening experience! (I have suffered from depression for years--if, most depressed people could read this book, & put into practice what the book says to do, in my opinion, there would be a lot less depressed people & a lot more mentally healthy & happy people!

I like that it involves a little science and philosophy. (I found that as I read it--scriptures of the Bible kept coming to mind. It is not a religion-specific book. It seems to inspire/challenge one spiritually, mentally & emotionally.

Nothing comes to mind regarding what I don't like about the book.

This book is excellent! It is a very easy read, and peppered with short inspirationals all the way through it. You can apply the Secret to every part of your life. I have read the book through and I am starting it all over again. I just can't stop reading. Every time I read, I see something I missed the first time around. My whole outlook on life is changing. Will this book make you rich? I don't know, but if you apply the Secret to every part of your life I can assure you that you will have a better quality of life. It's all about asking, believing and recieving. But the one point that some reviewers have missed in the book is that Belief without Action will get you no where. But if you apply the Secret, and belief, then you get inspired thoughts that you can take action on and change your life. Before you can change anything in your life, you must change the way you think. This book helps get you going in the right direction. You won't be disappointed in this book. It is going to be my number one gift idea for everyone on my Christmas and Birthday list this year!

If you believe their is more to life than we accually see or know this book is a must read.

The Secret is very easy to read and understand. Read it and apply it to your life and your life will change for the better.

I loved this book. I can remember writting down goals we were trying to reach and we did... Now I know how to obtain even more.

I purchased THE SECRET son. My daughter was given a copy as a gift, then she in turn, purchased a copy for me as a gift...and so goes the story. I loved the book....It is an age old secret and if everyone in the world read it and practiced it's principles, the world would be a much safer, and happier place. I also purchased the video. These two purchases are the best I've encountered in a long long time. Two Thumbs up from myself and my family!!!

The book was short, to the point, using several profession opinions.
It has an inticing jacket cover and a very alluring title.
I would have liked to see a few more comments from some of the professionals
in this area. The comments and quotes were spread throughout the book.
A short chapter highlighting each author's beliefs and knowledge of the subject
would have enabled the reader to get a better feel for each author's opinions.

This book is an inspiration. It has helped me think in a positive way. It would make an excellent gift for anyone, especially anyone who is pessimistic. It's amazing how your life changes once you start seeing the glass half full as this book helps you achieve.

I haven't read it yet because I never received it! After numerous attempts of contacting the seller and ebay, I have decided that my $13 is probably gone from my life for good. And it sucks. I was so looking forward to reading it, too! This has been such a headache, trying to get my money or the book, that I don't think I will ever buy from ebay again. It's really sad how this is happening, but I am just not happy with the "service" of the seller and the customer "support" from ebay.

The best book I have ever purchased, I cannot say enough about it or reccomend it enough. This book has truely changed my life. I inturn passed it on to a friend who is reading it now. I got one for my son, who is in prison, and it has changed his whole bieng and feeling about life. He sounds better spiritually than he has in a very long time.
From the day I saw it on Oprah, I knew it would become a very big part of my life and it has. I have made it my intention to learn and share my experiances with it.

I bought this book on a recommendation from a friend. She was right! It was wonderful and very inspiring. It raises self-swareness and how to get the most out of your life. I guess you can call it life changing if you can follow all the recommendations in the book and totally change your way of thinking and feeling, especially during the challanging times in your life. A book worth reading!!

The product was amazing the fact was i was leaving for hawaii a month after i purchase4d the item and tyhe fact is i got in after i went away on vacation it was bought intentionally before i left as a present it was very up setting how long it took and the book was not as special

I bought this book because of all the hype about it.

What I learned was that anyone can get rich if they are creative enough to tell everyone ELSE how to get rich and charge for the information. In much the same way that today the "diet" industry makes millions selling information and the promise of getting thin to an obese society.

The writing style was pedantic and disjointed. The ideas of the Law of Attraction have been around forever and have been presented in many more concise ways. I do have to say the marketing was brilliant. I hope to emulate it some day.
