This is an excellent book and the DVD is GREAT too!

I highly recommend this to everone...I also suggest: WHAT THE BLEEP DO WE KNOW?

Both talk about how we great our realities and through positive visualization and practice WE CAN MAKE THINGS HAPPEN...it's awesome!!

Since The Secret first came out there have been dozens of books that follow the key points of manifesting as laid out by Rhonda Byrne. Some clarify. Some add a few new points. However, the basic foundation remains the same.

The overall premise of The Secret is that thoughts magnetize/attract/create matter. Therefore, if we spend all our time worrying that a certain event will come, that we don’t have enough of something, or that we will never achieve a certain thing then the universe assumes we want these things and complies. So the more we focus on what we don’t want, the more we continue to receive exactly that.

Knowing this key point, we can make real changes to our lives. We can start focusing on the things we actually do want. Then let our positive energy work for us, rather than against us.

Here, I'll sum it all up for you in just a few words...

Focus on yourself totally and what you want to have in your life. Then, think
about it so much that you really believe these things are true. Once you
accomplish that, you'll have everything you've ever dreamed of.

This is about as self-centered, sinful and satanic as it gets!

Come on people, I cannot believe in this day and age that so many people are
still falling for this kind of snake oil nonsense!

What's really funny is when I read about the people who've read this junk and
start claiming how their lives are changing and how they're making so much
money, and what not. ha ha

I try as best I can not to focus on self (of course this is difficult as it is
with all humans) and try to live my life as Jesus taught, to love my enemies,
and to help others and FORGET about myself.

Despite doing these things, I continue to advance spiritually and financially,
in fact, I would consider myself rich by todays standards, and this did not
happen by focusing on myself.

Focus on Jesus, help others, forget about yourself, and work hard, and you'd
be surprised how things will turn around in your life. The really cool thing
is that it won't be just some fart caught in a whirlwind in your head, it will
be true and you won't be let down a few months from now when you finally
realize that evil has had its way with your life once again.

Bottom line, forget this book and the movie show, you'll only be spending money
making someone else rich by spoon feeding you lies.

The book is based on the belief that you get in life what you believe or expect and that everyone gets exactly what they deserve in life. When I try to apply the books principles to Concentration Camp victims of WW2, I see a cruel irony. The books premise does not universally apply.

Heard about the book on Oprah, however, never received the book--still waiting!! Don,t know who to contact for refund or to gfet the book.

Anyway, first thing's first: book looks interesting at first glance, but upon reading it, you'll fnd that it's a gyp if you bought/rented the movie "The Secret", and either got this from the library or ran out to get it to compliment your search for The Secret. Problem is, this book might as have been the SCRIPT for the movie itself instead of a book that could stand alone.

But then again, who knows, someone may like that. Why not- maybe you haven't seen the movie, don't plan on seeing it- or you don't have the time to sit at home and watch a movie. But personally, I get the feeing that if you were interested in the Secret, you could get either the book or the movie- but getting both is foolish to say the least. Good pictures, interesting layout, but it seemed to have been shamelessly copied off of for the movie itself.

Love this little book. Was a great deal buying it over the internet. Even if her puppy chew alittle piece on the cornor. Great buy over the internet.

I find this book easy to understand and to read.
It gives you a different perspective of positive thinking which is extremely important in today's society.

I watched these people on Oprah talk about "The Secret" and how it was going to change you life and how you could get everything you every wanted after you know " the secret". Well, I hurried out and bought the book. It offers the very basis of why we need to think positively.

It says we attract what happens to us. However, positive thinking about what we want daily must be coupled with the critical point that you must be clear on what you want and you will "attract" it. This requires good self-awareness the step following the knowing what you want and just believe that it will appear.

The Secret is an overall good read. Whether the secret will be of help to you depends on how you choice to practise it. - Gd Luck!

Absolutely the most inpiring book I've ever read. I have already received unexpected monies through the mail and other sources. I also have now landed a job better that I even imagined. This not only teaches the law of attraction, but shows you several ways to actually apply it. I read a copy of my friend's book and couldn't put it down ever after reading it. I kept wanting to refer it to it so that's why I bought this copy.

It is almost word for word the same as the video. Very eye-opening and thought provoking! Works as a book alone, or as a reference with the video.

My husband received this book as a gift and I decided to take a peek inside. I was curious as to what the secret was. I quickly read the back cover and was intrigued, I read the first page and was captivated...I couldn't put this book down! I LOVED what it had to say! Its message is profound, and the secret is something we all know and have inside us but we each have to uncover it on our own. It is completely surreal when you realize what you can accomplish when you know the secret. I highly recommend this book and I believe it was no coincidence that it came into my hands. That is the power of the Secret. Please read this book and see for yourself all the wealth that the universe has to offer each and every one of us if you just believe in yourself and the power within.
