Hi, the reason I purchased this item is the price, and the picture made it look like it was practically new.In reality the phone was "beat",the lens for the camera was cracked and there was alot of wear showing(the hinge of the flip phone was very loose).Anyway I was dissapointed, the seller has a three day no questions return policy and I choose to use it, so I am out the shipping and handling.

Cell phone private seller - be aware!!!

I decided to buy it because of the low price, seller provided pictures to insure the validation of the info presented at auction. Because I couldn't pay for the phone within a weak, the seller opened a dispute. Now, it's been almost a month since I paid for the item but still received no phone, no explanations, and no replies from the seller. AND, because of the open dispute, I can't report eBay thru their online forms that I have not received the item and that opened dispute is long time ago expired and needs to be closed as payment has been already made. DISAPOINTED ABOUT SELLER, DISAPOINTED ABOUT EBAY!

  Nokia 6126/6133 Cell Phone
Review created: 12/07/07

These are reasonably nice phones for the cost, they feature the 2 Gig MP3 Player Option with the addition of a MicroSD card.

The differences, the 6133 is simply a 6126 licensed for T-Mobile, the 6126 was made for Cingular/AT&T.

Likes, really nice screen compared to a lot of phones in this price range, very sharp high resolution. Good camera. Visually and cosmetically a very nice phone, and features a spring loaded flip screen that opens with the push of a button at the hinge.

Dislikes, it has a little less internal memory than most comparible phones and the call menus are a bit cumbersome (they don't dial numbers by default when you select a number, you have to look up the numbers options to dial it). It will not operate without a battery, even with a power cord hooked in. If there isn't enough juice in the battery or the battery isn't present, it will not turn on, power cord or no power cord. Seems to be common on a lot of Nokia phones. The case is poorly designed, with weak points in the external screen cover near the hinge that is easy to catch on the edges when the phone is shut and is proan to cracking, and a battery cover that comes off to easily.

I mainly use Sony Erickson phones (not nearly as nice of a screen, but will work without batteries, friendlier menus, more built in memory (my w300i has 20 Megs as apposed to the 6126s 8 Megs. and the camera takes equally high quality pictures) Biggest issue I've had with them is connection problems on the hard wire port (proan to corrosion, particularly after toddlers slobber on the contacts, siliva is acidtic and eats the copper and even damages circuit boards, but that's common for any electronic that wasn't designed to be put in the water.)

I originally bought a Nokia 6126 for a third line for my daughter. She mistreated it and I bought a 6133 for parts to fix it up, (needed new case and screen cable when she was done with it) and now use the remaining screenless 6133 circuit board to charge the extra battery for the 6126.

Overall a nice phone and good product, with good performance once you get used to it, but I would definately change the design so it could run without a battery installed.

The Likes: I purchased this product because of the style phone(flip),I can carry it without hitting the buttons, the options it has camera, mp3 player, bluetooth, and the Xpress printing.

The Dislikes: None

Why did I buy: The first reason was the price, this is a new design phone and most of the time it will have a high price tag, Nokia did not have a high price for what you get.

  awsome phone

The Nokia 6133 phone is the successor to the widely popular Nokia 6102i model. When you think Nokia, you think of their nice and simple soap bar styled phones, but they are doing a great job on the flip-phone side of things. I've rated each of this phones most prominent features on a scale of 1 to 10:

Design (9/10) - While not as thin and sleek as lets say the RAZR, it's rounded edges gives it a good portable feel in your pocket. Im guessing Nokia decided to borrow some old industry designs to include in the 6133. It's exterior is wrapped in a black colored rubberized texture (Motorola V300 series anyone?) with a silver trim around it, giving the phone a very nice rugged feel to it. And like the Nextel i860, it features a flip button which when pressed, automatically flips the phone open, something not seen very often on phones these days.

Screen (9/10) - Interior screen is big (2.2 inches) and beautiful. Animation, photos, graphics and text are vivid. External screen also doubles as mirror for vanity shots and is larger than most phones.

MP3 Player/FM tuner (6/10) - Supports MP3, AAC, AAC+, and eAAC+ file formats. Although nothing special, it features an FM tuner which you won't find on most phones. Disappointinly, the music stored and played on the phone must be purchased directly from T-Mobile's service for addittional fees. To be able to use the phones MP3 Player ability, you'll need to seperately purchase a special headset, USB data cable and a MicroSD card for additional space (phone comes with a small 11MB onboard memory).

Multimedia Features (8/10) - Contains features and functions found on most mainstream phones and sometimes even better. On top of the usual Alarm, Calendar, Tasks, Calculator, World Time, Unit Conversion, Timer, and Stopwatch there is also a translator, presenter, and sensor. Internet is provided by the fast broadband EDGE network so you can check email or browse the web. There is also access the T-Zone networks for downloads of music, games, wallpaper, more web applications, or access a variety of premium services. Phone is preloaded with three games. Features bluetooth wireless connectivity for headsets, handsfree car kits and laptop computers.

Battery Life (7/10) - Battery life is decent, factory rated at 210 minutes of talk time, although I tested it at a little under 3 hours. Battery life is lower with internet or multimedia usage.

Camera/Video (7/10) - Has a 1.3MP camera which takes decent pictures, although i've seen better quality results with other 1.3MP camera phones. There is no flash so dark or night shots are not possible. Although nothing special, the camera is basic enough to please most regular users.

MicroSD Slot (6/10) - Necessary if you want to store additional pictures, videos and music. Easy to pop in and very small (easily lost as well!). The cards are very cheap so its a great upgrade to get. Unfortunately as with the previous Nokia flip phones, accessing the slot takes a little more work. You'll need to open the battery cover to get to it (at least you don't need to remove the battery this time).

The Nokia 6133 is an improvement from the 6102i but there are still some kinks to work out. T-Mobile also needs give their consumers more freedom when it comes to multimedia and entertainment functions. Overall, if your looking for a nicely priced and feature packed phone from T-Mobile, the Nokia 6133 is a good choice.

  Review from a Tech. Writer...
Review created: 09/21/07

Design/Build:
The major issues with this two-fold: 1) it feels cheap so you’re really just waiting for it to break on you, and 2) it takes a second for it to actually flip, so you get this weird sense of delay. It’s kind of cool pressing the side button; but it gets old.
The data port and charge ports are both on the top of the phone which may be a problem if you are in the habit of charging while talking on the phone. The keys are smooth, flat, and mirrored. This is going to be a matter of opinion between people, but I personally like buttons that give you some sense of feedback and there simply was none here. It was also put together very poorly as you could see light leaking out around every seam in the plastic.
Software/Functions:
The phone itself seemed sluggish, and many keys didn’t respond without being pushed a couple times. It found my Bluetooth headset with very little effort, and connected to it very well.
Calls were very quiet and had a scratchy feel to them, though this was solved through use of a headset, so I suspect it was the onboard speaker. Calls also had an odd habit of not going where you wanted them too. For instance, while calling my mother, I was connected to Mexico. Every time! It seems Nokia automatically assumes you are dialing an international number, and is expecting your country code first. Since I didn’t program my contacts as 1 (area code) number, and instead simply (area code) number, none of my calls or texts worked.
I use my phones primarily for business, and as such, I make great use of the mute button when on conference calls. Now, Nokia forgot to put one on this phone. While on a call, you can go to options, scroll down to mute, and the call is muted. By the way, those key tones your phone is making are also playing into your call. Not cool. When it’s your turn to speak and you wish to unmute your line, you’re better off just hanging up and calling back. Where the Mute option was is now an option to put it into speaker phone (still muted) or to the handset (also still muted). After a few failed conference calls, I found the unmute option . . . at the bottom of another menu entirely.
There is no key lock on this phone; none. Side keys can be activated at any time. This means you get to delete pics of the inside of your pocket a lot, and occasionally you will find that your phone has been turned off.
The camera responded quickly (1.3MP) and the phone features Pict-Bridge so you can link it directly to a printer to get your pics off and onto paper. On top of that, whatever image processor Nokia threw into this thing has issues with color and lighting
This phone does feature a nifty little tool in its radio application. With a special headset (included in my package) you can tune through FM stations and save and name your favorites. The stations are then browsable through a button on the headphones, or the arrow keys on the phone. The tuner is a decent quality and the headphones were loud and clear. This was almost a solid good point for the phone . . . almost.
When switching between stations, the display doesn’t update. Though you’ve changed stations 12 or so times, it still says you are on your first station. In order to actually see what station you are on, you have to open the phone, go through 4 menus, and reopen the radio app (which technically never closed in the first place). It also eats battery power like popcorn.

Only 1 star is enough.

Great screen. Bluetooth and EGPRS work great; much better than previous Moto with same capabilities. Good voice quality. Built-in radio and MP3 player work great. Earpiece volume a little low. Battery life a bit short if bluetooth left on full time. Camera mode turns on too easy due to poor button location. Voice dial mode only uses computer generated voice not your own voice and therefore is hit or miss.

The best phone I've gotten a hold of!
Review created: 07/30/07
7 of 9 people found this review helpful.

The size is good, not too big, not too small or thick and I like the round edges. The mini LCD on the front is neat, can set a screen saver, and use the camera or just wallpaper. The phone's main screen is big and very bright/vivid clear colors! I love that you can set themes for your display (menu, backgrounds, and wallpapers). I love the fact that it has a FM radio that you can store your favorite stations, but you can only play it with the headset, even if you want it to play through the speaker, you need the headset plugged in first. The MP3/WMA player is good, too!! You can set a whole entire song as your ringtone, you just need to convert the MP3s to WMAs on your computer and then use your data cable to connect it to the computer. The speaker is very loud! I love that I can connect the phone to my computer because now I don't have to pay t-mobile for ringtones or MP3s, wallpapers, or pay picture messages if I want to send a picture to my phone, I can just do it all for FREE through my computer! You do need the microSD if you want lots of music or pictures AND to set the WMA as a ringtone. I recommend buying the data transfer cable to this phone to use it to its full capacity. This is comparable phone to the RAZR, but I find the display/GUI a LOT better! the user has a lot of capability to format the main display screen... can be blank, add the menus, notes, calendars... and can also format where it goes. I love that I can personalize it for me and it could look totally different from someone else who has the same phone =)

There are only a few things I don't like about this phone...

* The headset and data cable is hard to plug into the phone (you get the hang of it after awhile).

* You can't control the volume of the alarm and the defaulted volume level doesn't seem that loud in the first place.

* Maybe it's just my phone, but every time I use the timer, my phone freezes right after I hit start, then I just have to turn it off and back on.

All the features of the phone are lovely and the design is great. However, the entire phone is kept together by only 2 screw. In the case the phone will fall on the floor you will have to collect many pieces. Buy it only if you are a considerate user and you do not take it running with you. There are extra 2 water damage indicators inside the phone, on the top of the one behind the battery...make sure they were not exposed to humidity before loudly asking for a replacement.

i bought this phone for my sister - largely due to Nokia's ruggedness and durability.

All in all this is a pretty good phone with a lot of features. although it does have some shortcomings.

The earphone jack is pretty inconvenient - it's one of those huge flat connectors that requires a specialized earphone.

of course, if you have a blue tooth headset - this is a moot point.

overall a good phone.

It is a great phone. It gets a stronger signal than previous Siemons and Motorloa T Mobile phones. I receive a 5 bar signal in remote areas when my wife's phone (Siemons) has no signal, plus it has a lot of really neat features. I am still learning about it, but so far I love it! The camera takes great pictures, too.
I bought a data cable for it locally (not on ebay), with an installation disc, and I cannot get it to work to upload pictures direct into my pc, and download mp3 music into it. Maybe I can learn to do this later. That is my only disappointment so far.

Great phone, very clear and speaker is very loud. The radio on the phone is a good feature when your out and about at the park with the kids or walking. Cons: Battery is used up fast when using the radio, MP3 player, and bluetooth. So get a car charger. Can bluetooth in ring tones, but can't use them as ring tones. Over all the best phone I've ever had.

I also really like the push button open, it makes open the phone one handed easy.

This is the best easy to use flip phone by Nokia. The 6133 has every feature that I want in a phone, a good camera, text, the web, oh yeah and it works great as a phone too! The only problem I've had with it, is the camera button on the side, if it's in your pocket it comes on. A simple problem that doesn't matter. It overrall to me is a good phone, you can hear great on it, the buttons work fine, even after heavy game play! Rings nice and loud, easy to work and figure out, great speaker phone, a long lasting battery ( i play the radio and a couple games during the day but i listen to the radio for 7 hrs a day and make a couple calls, and i still have a decent amount of battery life left over ), fragile just like any other expensive flip phone. I think its a great phone with a good price.

I like the cell phone I bought because it is working well. It was cheaper for me than I would have bought a used phone from a regular store. What I do not like about the phone is that it had more tear and wear than was described during the sale. It was also difficult for me to communicate with the seller when I realized I could not use the phone because the former owner had a security code which only him knew about. I decided to buy the phone because I know some people who own Nokia 6133 and it functions well and it also saved me some money to buy from ebay.

Thanks.

I want you to know that the Nokia 6133 is the best phone available today, they sell in excess of 220 USD and 120 USD via t-Mobil upgrade. It offers a 1.2 Meg camera and Mini SD port. It can replay MP3 files stored on a SD card and playback, in my opinion is better than the unbalanced iPod which leans toward a heavy bass.

Beware of eBay bids and purchases because I had little luck winning on a bid because they are in high demand. My winning bid and purchase has currently ended in a claim. Product was not sent and a month has already passed. I have also received many fraudulent second chance offers. Your best advice is to buy direct rather than bid, and expect to pay 160 to 220 UDS for this quad band phone.
