First of several Mario Wii games we purchased. This game is our favorite and allows more than one player to actively participate in each level. The 3D graphics make each level a challenge to navigate. We loaned our first Mario Galaxy to some friends and they play it every evening, so needless to say here's my replacement.

Excellent graphics on the Wii and excellent play planets. Exciting game with numerous character interactions and choice plays. Highly unique game experience. Don't walk away from this game!

Even when you're not playing, this game is fun to watch. We have young children and they can play second player to help collect the stars. They love it and they laugh so hard when Mario does something funny.

Nintendo has done it again. I have been disappointed in the past because I am a fan of the classic mario gaming. I loved the secret worlds and tunnels and tubes. I have bought several since the classics such as Paper mario and hated it. So when Super Mario Galaxy came out I hesitated to buy it. So my husband bought this game for me as a gift. Once I popped it in the new WII system I was hooked. Graphics are superb. I love playing this game with the nunchuk and controller. You have to move things using your own hand movements.
Finding the right way to beat monsters and trying to move correctly @ the same time are very challenging and with each new area is something totally new and unique that you explore.
I was hooked the second I popped in the game. I would highly recommend this game for any Mario fan.

The game is interesting but it's can be very hard to look at. My daughter gets a little queasy when she plays it.

I love mario and grew up with it. The only complaint I have with this game is its always on planets and never flat. Kind of makes you dizzy.

Super Mario Galaxy is my new favorite in the Mario series. Breathtaking sorroundings, easy gameplay, jumping from one planet to another is just awesome. Here are a couple of reasons you should buy this amazing game

Story- Mario storyline has always been the same... Oh no mario, the princess has been kidnapped. . . oh no mario, the princess has been kidnapped and etc. Don't expect anything new from the latest installment in the mario franchise, but then again what other storyline do Mario games need?

Gameplay- The wide open spaces and starry skies add to the freedom you have in this game. 2 player gameplay was somewhat dissapointing when I played with one of my friends. The first player controls mario's actions and the other just points their remote at the screen and blasts enemies with small meteorites that are picked up from just about everywhere. There are different suits that you can acquire to give mario different new abilities never seen before. There are hours of fun awaiting those trying to beat the game and a challenge to collect all 100 stars for a true Mario fan. Being able to run around a planet in any direction any time you want is kind of hard to get used to, but adds more depth to the game.

Controls- I personally thought the controls were easy to get accostumed to. Some younger children might have trouble controlling mario's actions if they've never touched one of the older games. Playing with the Wii remote is a breeze and the second player's controls are even easier (although I don't recommend buying this game for the 2 player action). In short, if you've played other Mario games the controls aren't going to be much newer to you.

Graphics- The graphics on this game are breathtaking. Anyone would be amazed the work that Nintendo put into creating such detailed environments.

Music- There's not much new to this section of the game. The music can range from soft and gentle, to chaotic and frantic. The sounds are pretty much the same as any other Mario game made before this one, but still offer great entertainment. The music helps add to the mood of that point in the story also.

Ages- This game is recommended for all ages. It offers a challenge for children and adults alike. I've seen all ages play and enjoy this game. It has something for everyone.

So I give this game a 5/5. It deserves nothing lower. There isn't much not to like about Super Mario Galaxy. It's great for all ages and the graphics are great. A must have for anyone who owns a wii!!! (Once again I warn you. . . DO NOT BUY THIS GAME FOR THE OPTION OF PLAYING WITH 2 PLAYERS, IT'S NOT WORTH IT)

Not too many games pull me away from my Xbox 360, but Super Mario Galaxy demands my attention.

For any gamer who triple jumped their way to 120 stars on the Nintendo 64 system, you'll feel right at home. All of the old moves are here: wall jumps, triple jumps, long jumps, ground stomp, etc. The game also makes good use of the Wii remote without giving into any gimicks.

In short, if you own a Wii, this game belongs in your library.

Great Family fun! My adult kids have been playing for hours. You can use a second player to help the primary player along, it is fun. I am a watcher, not a player and I have enjoyed it as much as the rest of the players. The graphics are everything you expect them to be in a Wii system, and each mission has its own level of difficulty. I have been told this is a keeper and it will played again and again. Not a bad investment, cheaper than a movie & popcorn for a family of four and many more hours of entertainment and laughter. Some groans and some tears! WoooHooo, Fun Fun Fun!
