This C250 (2 GIG) was my 2nd MP3 player , and overall im happy with it. It's compact size makes it easy to pocket , sound is pretty good ,although I would like louder volume as I do not use my headphones in my ear when im cycling and I prefer to listen to it with headphones around my neck. I would suggest buying better quality earbuds than the one's packaged with the C250 .It's features, including the mini LCD screen and lighted on/off button make it user friendly in dark situations. The battery life seems to be adequate , and the menus are extensive , maybe too much as the variety of ways to select music can lead to alot of confusion. Im not really a music guy , and I have been listening to some old time radio MP3s and drama cds, i have transferred 6 albums , 4 old radio series , and the NPR version of Empire Strikes Back , and its barely half way full.I have been using WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER 11 , and its very easy to get albums on it , most operations take less than 10 minutes in fact, and I like the way the Sansa C250 stores album art you associate with the MP3s , it's too bad you cant view it when browsing the folders either in the player or in the desktop.Would I recommend this player? yes, it is a very good alternative to IPODs for somebody not wishing to spend alot of cash on a overhyped tech gadgets. Sansa includes headphones, rechargable lithium ion battery (which charges each time you synch the device to a PC), USB synch cable , converting software for pictures (picture viewer besides albbum art). and the unit can have it's firmware updated so far only functionality fixes)
