Bob Munro had planned to take his family to Hawaii for their family vacation. His boss had other ideas. If he didn't go to Colorado, would he lose his job? Now, how do you suppose...he managed to not tell his family they were actually on a working vacation? It wasn't easy! Or was it?

What would you think if you saw an RV pull up in your driveway driven by your dad, Bob Munro. Cassie Munro was not impressed, nor were her brother, Carl or their mother, Jamie.

Bob Munro's driving skills of an RV leave plenty of room for growth. He backs it over several items getting it out of the driveway. He manages to make light of difficult situations with his disgruntled family, who continually let him know of their dislike of this trip. Eventually they mellow out and apologize to him.

The trip to Colorado has its ups and downs. They meet the Gornickes while parked at an RV park when Bob Munro and Carl Munro have taken the RV to the septic disposal area. This scene was probably the grossest of all....but one could overlook it when Earl Gornicke was hosing down Bob Munro with cold water. After which Earl invites Bob and his family to dinner.

After returning the RV to its space, Bob Munro, attempts to make dinner for his family, only to fail miserably at it, and eventually taking up the dinner invitation to the Gornickes. The dinner proves to be interesting. They find themselves entertained by the Gornickes after dinner and politely excuse themselves back to their RV. The Munros decide they don't want to be friends with the Gornickes so they get up early and leave the RV park. The Gornickes always seem to be there when the Munros need them despite being befriended by the Munros.

En route we see Bob Munro attempting to use a laptop to put a presentation together for his boss without his family knowing about it. While at a gas station refilling the RV, he grabs at the opportunity to use the excuse of using the men's restroom. Bob is called out of the restroom and temporarily leaves his laptop in the restroom. When he returns, it is gone. Now, what do you suppose this business man is to do? Who do you think walked away with the laptop? Does he have a handheld PCA to finish the presentation? Possibility. I found the scenes of him trying to e-mail the presentation totally hilarious, cause he couldn't find a signal to get it to go through.

At another stop, the Munros are seen sitting outside of the RV because they had been visited by a family of raccoons. Bob Munro exterminates them with a gas. As a result, the family have to stay out of the RV until the lingering effects go away. The raccoons did not die, they just exited the RV "stage left". The Munros are in rain jackets, and being rained on, cold and hungry as they wait for the gas to dissipate so they can go inside the RV. As time has it, they each take a trip down a water fall and end up at a restaurant...where they end up having dinner before returning to the RV.

Does Bob Munro finally bring his family together as a result of this vacation? Does he still have a job? What happens to the RV next? Do the Munros and Gornickes ever become real friends?

To avoid spoiling the rest of the movie for you that haven't seen it yet, I will stop with this scene.

I will say this...I wouldn't want the Rental or Insurance bill after this movie was made for this RV.

This has got to be one of the best movies that Robin Williams has starred in. He had the whole audience at the theater in stitches.

Would I see it again? MOST DEFINITELY!

Thank you for the opportunity to review this movie.
