Twilight by Stephenie Meyer (2006)

A nice easy book to read. Once I finished it I was looking forward to the next book. A wonderful book to get your child for summer reading!!!

This book was one of the best books I've ever read. It only took me a day to get through it. I read fast. Now I'm waiting for the second one to get to my house. I'm going crazy having to wait a few days for it. I recommend this book ot everyone. It was amazing!!!!

This is a great YA book that is also appealing to adults over the age of 21 to 60. It is plot and character driven, provides a believable romance, while also making the characters go through the trials and tribulations of high school, teenage life, and the lives of those that are supernatural.

I just want to say, this book and the others in its series totally rocks!! As I read some of the reviews, I can say that I have also had same feelings as well. I love Stephanie Meyer and the way she tells the story. I cant wait till Breaking Dawn comes out. Im on team Edward!!!

This book is the BOMB!!!! I checked it out at my library and couldn't put it down. I had to have it so I could read it again. I read it 6 times in one month (started it for a 7th before the month was over). I have borrowed it to some friends and haven't been able to have them back. I couldn't wait to get the others. I have the fourth book preordered. August can't come quick enough. I can't talk it up enough. The second book seems to have the characters thoughts too much throughout. The third book gets you right back into the can't put it down mode. I can't wait to see what the fourth book is like!!!

If you are able to read a book, somewhat large (but those of us who read it, it seems like a 50 page book, because we read it at amazing speeds because we could never find ourselves putting it down) this book is for you! This book is for EVERYONE!
I never really took interests in books, EVER. I watched my best friend read this book one day, and she wouldn't put it down while I was trying to talk to her. She too, WAS one of those people who never really enjoyed reading. Ok, I thought, this is really ridiculous. How good could this book be?
I asked her what the book was about finally, and she told me it was about a girl named Bella who falls in love with a vampire, etc. At first I thought, ok, whatever, until I found myself walking through the library, looking for that book, or a book like that.
Unfortunately, I had no idea which one was first, so I ended up reading New Moon first, but you will be amazed by how much reading will become easier, yet alone so much more enjoyable by reading this series.

I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO ANYONE WHO CAN READ!!

This book is excellent. My 16 year old daughter couldn't put it down, and neither could I. I'm letting my 70 year old mom read it now. It is about a teenager in love with a vampire. Talk about mixing romance and science fiction. Reads very well.

My daughter is so hooked on these books. She's 10 years old and can't put the series down. She calls her friends to talk about the books, she is dreaming about the books, and can't wait to read the next in the series. She's even getting up at 4:30 am to read more of it! I plan on reading the books this summer just because she and her friends love them so much.

I loved this entire book, it allows your mind to wander off into the unknown and think about an alternate side of life. I was captivated by the riviting plot that the book proposed and was enthralled until the last page was turned. I loved the mystery and suspense that was wonderfully weaved throughout the chapters. It is an amazing book and I have since read this particular piece of literature twice and have now decided that I purchase the next book in the series. I decided to purchase this book at the assurance of my librarian that it would be well worth my time, as we have similar taste in literature. Of course she was right, I feel in love with this amazing book and have long since shared my appreciation with several friends.

I bought this book for my daughter, who had borrowed the book from a friend, she loves the book and plans on purchasing the other books in the series. She is anxiously awaiting for the movie to come out.

For a very fat book, Twilight really fails to offer much substance or cover new ground in the vampire genre. The narrator who takes us on this long journey over 500 pages is not that compelling a storyteller; nothing about her suggests she deserves to tell this expansive narrative. Except she is a teenager who has the folly to fall in love with a vampire--in itself a ridiculous premise (he is dead after all). This narrator makes Romeo and Juliet seem like excellent decision makers. Like them, she would have been better served sticking to her geometry homework. Edward the Vampire (sounds like a ludicrous sitcom title, doesn't it!) is purely one dimensional--he oozes golden honey and sophistication, a fanged sort of Cary Grant. The final business with the rogue, evil vampire seems contrived and implausible, serving only to inject some much needed action into an otherwise treacly love story. The book is a quick read nonetheless, a good one for young girls who will swoon over its intrigue and romance. But for anyone else looking for compelling reading brimming with substance, the book is sure to disappoint.

I had a love, hate relationship with this book. I'd get frustrated with the way things were going and put it down.. then I couldn't stand not reading it so I'd pick it up again. By the time it was over I had to have more so I ordered the next one and can't wait for it to come. This is such an easy reader.. I can't believe how well the author keeps you sucked in. I love this book!

This is a great read. The writing is very descriptive but flows well and it's easy to pour through this book at lightening speed. The only issue I have is that this novel is categorized and published as a youth book. The content as a whole is a bit mature in nature for a youth book and I would have second thoughts about letting a young teen or pre-teen read this one.

I was a bit skeptical at first when I realized the part of the storyline had to deal with vampires, because that's not something I would normally choose to read. But I quickly fell in love with the star-crossed lovers story. Excellent book. HIGHLY recommended.

Although this book has had rave reviews here on Ebay and is going to be a feature length movie in December of 2008, I tend to disagree with the masses. Here's a short synopsis:

Bella: "Like Hi, my name is Bella and I am a special and unique snowflake and I'm SO pretty and like nerds are so lame. Like, all of the teacher and students at my school think I'm SOOOO awesome!"

Edward: "Hi. I am Edward and I am a vampire. I have no personality and you (Bella) and I are void of any actual chemistry."

Bella: "Ooooo, you're pretty. We should, like, be in love!"

Edward: "Ok."

Me (on the telephone): "Father, please, for the love of God...come and exorcise this book. Please, hurry Father, I can feel the book....watching me."

I ordered this book after seeing it recommended on the eBay Book Readers forum. It is the best book I have read in a long time, and I can't wait to read the others in the series. You will fall in love with Bella, Edward and the rest of the Cullens family.

I rarely read a book twice. However, immediately after finishing Twilight, I felt like I could pick it up and read it again!

I loved this book. I found I couldn't put it down. The writer really did well on expressing Bella's thoughts throughout the story. You were always wondering what was going to happen next. It was such a beautiful blend of how I truly thought at seventeen and the paranormal world of vampires. Meyer truly takes vampires and makes them her own in this story. For anyone who ever had a high school crush, never quite fit in, or just love vampires, I think this is a book you'd truly enjoy.

I have become a big fan of Ebay the items are dispalyed the way you can pick and choose or bid against another buyer. Ebay has become an essential part of my life instead of wondering around from store to store trying to find what I need and not finding it. Ebay places anything a person needs right in front of them and there are times you can just buy what you need right out or place a bid on the product. I also like the fact that I can pay for my items thru PayPal and have the items delivered right to my door. This is the way of the future and Ebay is leading the way with an array of items that are just unbeleivable. As you can see by my letter I'm really impressed with Ebay and look forward to my next purchase.

Excellent series if you like teenage feelings in a book this is the best
it is geared for high school students and i am 25 but i still enjoyed this

{deep breath} I'm a 37 year old woman and I'm in love with a vampire. There, I said it. I LOVE this book (the whole series). It's written for "young adults" but anyone with a passion for a good love story will enjoy this. I'm actually rereading it again already. Something I've never done before!

This book is great for all ages! I have noticed many people saying that these books are for teenagers. My 14 yr old niece got me to read these books and I found I couldn't put them down. Since then I have loaned them to my friends and they say the same thing "I need the next book" The five of us that have now read them that are not teenagers are ages 40 - 55 and we can't wait for "Breaking Dawn" to come out in Aug. The movie hopefully in Dec. 2008 and then the story all over again as seen from Edward's perspective "Midnight Sun".
