Motorola I870 (Sprint Nextel)

I bought this phone to update from the one i had. I wanted a newer phone. I received the phone very fast. I love everything about it. It has the camera, bluetooth, MP3 player the phone does a lot. It's slim, small and has a nice sized screen on the inside. I love it! It's great! I really don't dislike anything about the phone and any one that has one would probably agree. I really don't know what else to say about it. If you read the description of the phone and look at the pictures it's everything it says to be and looks exactly like the pictures. It's a great phone!

the phone is nice but the phone not shipped in a timeley manner. although it was handled between me and the seller they have lost me as a customer.

I bought it and gave it to a friend. I didn't keep it so I can't really give a great review. My friend loved it though.

It has a really big screen for a Nextel. Plus a decent megapixel camera that takes amazingly good shots. Also the internet and texting works well on this phone. Much better than most Nextel phones, and trust me I have had almost every single model. I would have to say this is my favorite model.

love the price, this item was half of the new purchase price!!! The item only had a few scratches and is perfect for what i need. The nextel store wanted 425.00 for the same phone with no contract!!

when i first saw the price, it caught my attention. the phone arrive fast and it worked great-came right on time...i had no complaints until now(a week ago)..the ear bud goes in and out. it wasnt doing that at first so i couldnt complain, but i must admit for the time it did work, i reallly enjoy using it.

I like the phone, it's retail value was $300 and I got it for less then $200. It was delivered in a fair amount of time and I decided to buy this item because I needed a new Sprint/Nextel phone, but I decided to buy one from ebay because it was cheaper then buying one new from the store!

I've had this phone now for a few weeks and I was warned about it having glitches in the phone from previous Motorola i870 owners. Well I can report that it does have a few minor baby glitches in it BUT thats not saying its not a good phone. I've actually washed (In the Laundry Full Circle in the Washer) this phone by accident and it still powered back on after I dried it out. The phones battery life like all Nextels (its seems) is not very long for the moderate to heavy users. The glitches include: The Memory Card when you upgrade sometimes doesn't register with the phone right away and can take up to 30 minutes to be fully read, the battery lasts about a day during normal use and about half a day if I get busy. The nextel service in Maryland isn't alway's the greatest but this phone is still good on the signal strength. Here's the pro's. I've dropped it a few times and very little scratching occured. I like the metal backing too. The phone is much lighter then the previous "Motorola i8" series phones. The MP3 player works perfectly (after the memory card is fully read). The picture phone is great to but I would like to be able to store longer video then 30 seconds though. But other then the con's I've given you the phone is a great item to have. So thats why I've labeled it i870 good even with gliches.

THE PHONE IS GREAT, IT HAS ALOT OF NICE FEATURES MP3 ASWELL AS CAMERA VERY NICE SETUP A LOT OF MEMORY. THE ONLY THING THAT I DISLIKE ABOUT THE PHONE IS HOW FRAGILE THE FLIP IS, THE RIBBON FOR THE LCD'S IS VERY DELICATE AND TEND TO GET DAMAGED VERY EASILY BUT AS FAR AS ALL THE OTHER FEATURES ON THE PHONE THEY ARE GREAT.

Phone has been great, this time I actually got a phone that works well, and takes care of the things I need very well.

I needed a new phone & this was the one I wanted. At a good price too. The description said one minor scratch but there was about 4 chips in the paint. Other than that it was ok. It was my first purchase from ebay and I think it went very well.

I bought the phone because it has bluetooth. The bluetooth has been great to use however when the bluetooth is not enabled I have had nothing but problems with it since I received it. I may not be a fair person to write a review for this phone because I bought it used and I do not know how the seller took care of it. I know they removed the sticker off of the inside so the warranty is voided on my contract and when the phone powers up they have a slogan or something of the sort come up, Nextel Service Center said they have never seen a phone do that, so some how the seller was able to do something to it that even Nextel is unaware of how to do. In the process of the changing things to this phone they could have been the ones to mess it up internally. So really, this phone could be a great phone, just mine is not. I get phone calls and the caller can hear me but I can not hear them for 10 to 30 seconds and as I have said, it don't believe it is all I870 phones, just the crappy one I got. After the money I shelled out and the money I will use to purchase another NEW phone, I should have came off my wallet and bought it brand new in the first place and it would have saved me from a huge headache!

I love my i870 phone, got it on ebay at a great price, and when i dropped the phone and it broke, i brought it to the nextel dealer to see how to fix it, and they replaced the phone completly free of charge. I love the mp3 player and got it for the bluetooth. Makes it easier to talk on the phone while driving down the road.. It is a great phone..

i use the i870 and i like it but i see alot of other phones that are less expensive and have alot more cool features.I especially like how its bluetooth.That definetly comes in handy.If your looking for a phone to play with instead of just using it to talk on go somewhere else.

I had this phone a while ago, and the battery exploded! I loved the phone's mp3 player, but I woke up one day to a !BANG!. I noticed the place where you put the sim card had completely melted. It sounded like somone shot a BB through the wall of my house.

But a phone's battery exploding shouldn't deter you from buying this product, I probably got a defective one.

Pros:
-Better RF signal. Picks up places where my i860 didn't.
-Much better quality screen. Probably one of the best I've seen.
-Better call quality and speakerphone
-1.3 megapixel camera and better video. This camera blows my i860 out the water and can hang with some of the real fany camera phones out there from other cell phone providers.
-MP3 Player. What more can I say? Very high quality.
-The design is much better including the paint, keypad, and shape.
-Bluetooth. Finally! Haven't used it yet but I'm getting a headset this week.
-MicroSD/Transflash card so you can add much more audio, video, and photos.
-25mb of memory. Same as i860, but still a good feature.
-Direct Talk, so that you can use regular walkie talkie if you don't have any service.
-USB Cable connection so that I can continue to make my own ringers, wallpapers, etc.


Cons:
-MP3's from the memory card can not be made as ringtones.
-There is no calculator program built in. Thank God for Java Apps
-Great camera but is easily triggered to dust. Have a Q-tip nearby.
-Internet lags sometimes when you sign off


As you can see, the Pro's outweight the Con's tremendously. If you have Nextel and want a more upgraded phone and multimedia is your specialty, definitely get the i870. The i930 is also a good choice but it is very bulky and lacks Bluetooth

It was purchased as a gift. My brother in-law loves it. My husband and I had looked high and low for a cheaper price. Everywhere we looked the phone was $400.00. Something told me to search for it on EBay. We read the review the seller had which we decided to take that chance. Due to the holidays and the bad weather we had a small delay. Once the phone arrived it was still brand new. Never opened and the box was in tact. I will make more purchases on EBay from here on out.

I never did receive this I870 Nextel Phone from the seller and I never did hear anything back from e-bay after I filed a claim stating that my money order was cashed and the item was never sent to me by the seller. I have the sellers name, address and phone number but nobody from e-bay has ever contacted me to try to help me get my $200.00 money order back or the phone. The sellers name is Mr. Goodman, his cell number is 704-902-1539, his home number is 704-278-1300, his address is 202 Johnstone Road, Cleveland, NC, 27013, although he also uses 200 Johnstone Road. He canceled his account as soon as he cashed in my money order. I bet he continues to operate and steal money from customers at e-bay under a different identity but e-bay is big enough that this type of stuff should be looked into and resolved so that nobody else has to encounted what I did.
Please forward this to any department within e-bay that can assist me further. Thank you.

i had been waiting for that phone for a long time. i didn't get it before because it was too expensive and than i finaly found it for decent price, thats when i decided to get that phone. i do love it and it works very good.

i like this phone because you can do alot with it.This phone also has a mp3 player in it which is cool .but thats all
