Mass Effect (Xbox 360)

I had read about this game in the critic forums and purchased it from the seller for the great price of $36.00 (including shipping) for the game and the game guide. What a steal for such a fantastic game. The seller sent the item to me immediately and everything has worked out fine. Get this game, it belongs in every collection. BioWare is still the leader in game design.

pros: long epic story line depended on player actions. Game-play similiar to Winback (hide and shoot) but with the RPG build. Very large world/universe to explore.

cons: depth - when you make something this big it lacks certain details and truths that does not completely emerse the player, but then again I might be just another boring realist.

In general, the game is KOTOR -- great game but wished for more depth with your party characters. Buy it, if you haven't already.

I prefer the gameplay style of Oblivion over Mass Effect, but I am definately enjoying the game so far. Lots of open ended exploration and much improved fighting controls over the older version of the game, eventhough the same game engine is used. Definately worth picking up a used copy if you enjoy very open ended in depth games.

I picked up this game the day after I got GTA4 and put off GTA4 in favor of Mass Effect. The graphics and story in this game are excellent, the non linear story line, lots of side quests, and tons of achievements give the game many hours of game play and replay value. The game isn't completely perfect though. The action/shooting can be clunky at sometimes; and I wish the reputation system (paragon vs. renegade) had more influence on game decisions and character interactions. But overall I definitely give this game a 5 out of 5 for a fun rating, must have for all RPG fans considering the drought of RPGs for the 360.

Decided to buy after reading all the reviews and seeing all the 10/10, 5/5 scores. This game genre was not up my ally... but I still love this game. Hours of fun well worth $60 but on ebay its a must for $35-$45. It's also a ADULT game... you button mashers that don't like listening and watching the story develope might not like it. You still get to shoot and throw grenades, upgrade armor and weapons, but for the most part it's role playing (witch I wasn't into until I played this!!).

Great buy if you are into mission based sci fi kind of games. Very addictive so make sure you have plenty of time to play!

This game is a very fun game and addictive. At least until you beat it. Ive tried to play it again but just cannot seem to regain interest.

This game is possibly one of the best games I have ever played. Excellent replay value. Not to long not to short. Challenging but not a complete game of roshambo. If you haven't played it you should. However not for everyone.

This is an amazing game. Graphics are stellar. A little wordy, but a stellar experience. A must play for everyone.

This has got to be one of the most innovative rpgs released recently. It is an RPG that has brought an entirely new element to it's genre.

Bioware has included an often overlooked feature: an extremely detailed character creation. If you're not looking for character creation, then there are some pre-made characters available to get you playing right away.

Perhaps my favorite feature though, is the great story in which Bioware lets you play an integral part. Your character's actions really seem to make a difference. This has been a particularly difficult thing to accomplish in the past, and it really sets Mass Effect above the rest.

I had rented this from Blockbuster thinking it sounded interesting, a mix of a shooter and a roleplaying game. About 45 min. in the controls were driving me nuts, and I was really glad I had just rented the game. Then as I got more familiar with the controls, I really started to get into it. Sure enough, after returning the game, I promptly came on ebay to buy a copy because I was dying to finish it.

You'll lead a party of three character (one you can control) on a mission to save the galaxy. It seems one of the Citadel's super agents has gone rouge and decided to destroy everybody, and its up to the new race (humans, you!) to save their collective butts!

The gameplay is great, though for me it took a little getting used to. Your character has lots of weapons as well as abilities that you can customize. The story and interaction with characters is interesting and keeps you pressing forward through the missions. One of the game biggest strengths in my mind is that your teammates actually help rather than annoy. The game was challenging, I know I died fairly often, but not so much that it was frustrating or repetitive.

My complaints are fairly minor - some of the side quests are annoying, especially at the Citadel (fetch, go talk to this guy) and when exploring new words. Also, when exploring planets for secondary missions, the bunkers and bases tend to all use the same blueprints, which gets repetitive. Finally when using the rover, some of the planets are just a pain in the butt (really, more mountain climbing?) to get around. But these don't really detract too much for me, just occasionally irritate.

Overall, I think this is one of the top Xbox games - the story is well executed, gameplay is alot of fun. There are some minor flaws here and there, but nothing that would stop me from wholeheartedly recommending it.

Yup, definitely next generation rpg. Not that the fighting couldn't be more interesting - its pretty close to FPS, but other than that, the actual character models and interactions are pretty cool.

I absolutely love this game. I just can't put it down and I've been playing for about 14 hours now. The game has a great KOTOR(Knights Of The Old Republic) feel to it but is quite unique in its own way. I definetly suggest trying this game...no, no, buying this game because your going to want to spend hours playing.

Awesome game that's very customizable. I like how they mixed fps with rpg (first person shooter with role playing game) So you shoot down enemies and level up.

A drawback of this game, is that the terrain is kind of 1 direction and not much space for exploring, and you can't just jump over little things in the way or anything.

This is a fun game! I do not like RPG's at all. I find them boring and not what I am looking for. However, the interactive dialog, the need to explore worlds, and the cobat make this an exceptional game. I cannot compare it to anything because I really have played nothing close to it. There is just so much to it. But I am normally a fan of Gears of War, Call of Duty 4, Army of Two and the like, and I find this a great game.
