Hoodwinked (2006, DVD)

I think that this was a stupid movie. It really ruined red riding hood's story. I think that the humor was ridiculous with only a few funny parts in it. This is a good family movie. I didnt like it at all the humor was ridiculous and they didnt really develope the characters. if your not in a family dont waste your money.

Im not a great fan of this film... but I do agree, it has its good parts.
Still, is a very cheap film, anyone with the right equipment could make it in their garage.

Hoodwinked is loosely based on the Classic story - Little Red Riding Hood, though for us, the original in its short simple rendition, is the better of the two. I got the impression that the producers of this tried to run with the classic story then quickly ran out of original ideas, or ways to expand upon the initial tale and hence we get a movie that simple drags!!
The premise of the movie sounds good - take an all star cast including Anne hathaway, Glenn Close and James Belushi, and a much loved tale...and tell the whole story, putting across everyone's arguments from Red Riding Hood, to Granny down to the Wolf...plus add a little mystery to the case...in this case a their who is stealing recipes from the townsfolk and disrupting their business which gives the movie more material to work with.
However, this still fails to work....scenes are repetitive, our toddler and older cousin quickly lost interest...the same toddler who will sit through more compex movies such as Harry Potter - was bored and ; and frankly I see why!! There is no real plot...or at least not enough to last the 80 minute run time. The characters are not appealing and fail to draw the viewer into the story and pfr us, we could not care less who was the villain...we just wanted this to end!
For me, this and Doogal tie as the most unappealing, unimaginative childrens movies of the year!! An 80 minute bore!

This is an awesome computer animated movie. It is a spin on the classic Little Red Riding Hood. It tells a tale of a recipe thief that is running amuck through the forest causing all the goodie shops to go out of business.

When Red, Grandma, the Wolf, and the Lumberjack are at the crucial moment... in burst the police. Shortly after an inspector arrives. You will laugh your way through the interrogations and all that is going on around Grandma's house. Adults and children alike will like this movie. :)

Very unhappy with the product. The product came in a foreign lanuage without any subtitles or English option. I was unable to watch the movie since it would not work in any of my DVD players. It only works in a portable player. I have not heard from the seller at all to rectify this situation. I do not recommend any products from this seller.

It was a good price for a great movie! I'm a pretty hard movie critic and this movie wasn't perfect. But it was good enough to make me smile quite a bit and had me watching it 3-4 times that first week to make sure I captured all of the humor that is baked into nearly every aspect of the movie. And the kids love it, too. Good, wholesome family entertainment...something that's getting pretty hard to find these days.

This movie took about 10minutes to get into it's groove but after that it was magic. An animated kids style of 'Run Lola' or 'Go'. You get to see this movie about 4 main characters in the same senario but different points of view. Us adults sat through it happily and the kids have already watched it a couple of times so it cant be all that bad.

I never got this movie and was the only thing I ever got on e-bay that failed to come, most dealers and sellers are on the up and uop but you have to look at the ffedback to big with some saftey in mind, who what where and why is because my kids wanted to see this movie and enjoy it and I loved the price until it didn't come.

The movie is great. I can't believe that I actually received the movie in the actual shrink wrap. The movie is originally for my daughter. She absalutely loves and adores it.

There's more than meets the eye with this movie. Hoodwinked displays a great lesson on judging character. Additionally, it has a well written plot with interwoven stories of fun personalities and upbeat music. Each suspect tells their account of what happened at Little Red Riding Hood's grandma's house. She's not an old fashioned grandma, by the way. The frog inspector is darling and there's a line about some pigs in a land fraud deal that tease of a sequel. It's a great movie to watch more than once--checking how everything fits together so well. I suggest buying it--you'll get your money's worth.

The movie was full of good old fashion humor. No ethnic jokes, lude comments, or gross inuendos. Great story, kids loved it and My husband and I enjoied it too!

I wanted to see what the movie was about. I love cartoons and thought that it would be a funny cartoon. This movie was not that funny and it moved too slow.

I sent my money immediately after winning the item and have never received the DVD that I paid for. Don't do business with this seller!

I thought this was a very clever and well-done movie with good humor and story elements for both adults and kids. A refreshing family movie!

I bought this DVD for my nephew as a birthday gift after seeing the film. It's a smart, funny, creative movie. I had a lot of fun watching it.

i love movies, i collect them, also i babysit 2 little ones and is good to have kids movies at home. i like the service of the seller and the quality of the movie, like i said im a movie collector.... also i feel good buying movies becuz im home all day, im dissable and sometimes you feel like a kid yourself.. they are not profany or sex involved on kids movies,. love them a lot.

couldnt tell you, mine was a bootleg copy, so buyers beware! it took me a month to even recieve, im really getting tired of spending my hard earned money and recieving crap!

This movie is wonderful, both for children and parents! my daughter, boyfriend and I loved it! the Animation is wonderful! Definitely a movie in your DVD collection to have!

This a very hilarious and twisted version of Little Red Riding Hood. It's like a behind the scenes look of what really happened with the little red riding hood story.

I didn’t know what to expect from this movie. I hadn’t seen a lot of publicity about it. So, when I saw it I was surprised both at how good it was and that I hadn’t heard more about it. It had a great cast. Patrick Warburton was fantastically funny as the wolf. I’d recommend it for kids and adults alike.

A few good laughs, but a pretty predictable ending. We were on to the culprit within the first 20 minutes. But we enjoyed the movie all the same, and the casting is spot on. The humor is more for the mature kid than for the really little ones. Adults will get a kick out of the movie too.

THIS IS JUST AN ALL AROUND GOOD MOVIE, I TOOK MY KIDS TO SEE IT WHEN IT WAS RELEASED, THEY MADE IT CLEAR THEY WERE NOT WAITING FOR THE DVD, AND I AM NOT BIG ON MANY CARTOONS BUT I HAVE TO SAY I REALLY ENJOYED THIS ONE! I WAS LAUGHING RIGHT ALONG WITH THE KIDS, ALOT OF TIMES I WAS LAUGHING WHEN THEY WERE NOT! IT HAS A GOOD PLOT, VERY INTERESTING CHARACTERS AND IT REALLY DOES KEEP YOU LAUGHING! My family and I really liked this movie. It was a cute remake of the old story, little red riding hood. This movie was not only for children, my husban and I were also cracking up during this movie.

This is a clever retelling of the classic children's story "Little Red Riding Hood." The movie presents the story from each character's perspective, and a new villian emerges. It is smart, funny and something the whole family can enjoy.
