This was... well, pretty good, but not as good of a DVD set as it could have been. There are 6 DVDs for this set, with all 26 episodes covering the first five, and a director's cut version on the last. But, what irked me was that, while they had the director's cut and such, They didn't have the Commentary tracks on any of the Complete Collection DVDs. Haven't seen ALL of the other Platinum DVDs, the ones that are separately sold, but I know they should have the same amount of episodes per disc, and some Commentary, and other specials on it as well.
So, while the episodes of Neon Genesis Evangelion are genius, the Platinum Box Set leaves much to be desired. It's kinda sad, but it's good to buy just for the series its3elf, but as a collector's item, I wouldn't recommend it.
