I liked that the book was about the opionion and advice from people who did the biggest loser. They gave some good advice on dieting that they used. I liked the menu ideas that they gave.
I enjoyed reading about the cast, but I was hoping for more examples of what they actually ate day to day. I was also interested in the excercise routine and how long they actually did work out in any given day. Also, I was looking for more recipes I could use for two people to get me through the week.
I liked to watch the show occasionally. Not every person can go out a jog in a good neighborhood, if you have a neighborhood. This book is good if you have a lot of space and time to do everything. But again..I bought this for information that is good for me and I believe you can take from it what you want.
Well written and easy to follow. Helpful in keeping to the Biggest Loser "Food Program." Contains sample menus and stories about contestants and their favorite dishes that helped them reach their goals.
Had been looking in used book stores and other used shops ,should have looked on ebay first,was very pleased with item and the fast mailing from this person,a good place to buy what you want,just don't like new form.
I bough thtis book beacuse I watched the TV show & was very inspired to get in better shape. This book is also very inspiring & I would highly recommend it to anyone who liked the show. It has so much information about dieting and exercise & the cast members gave their secrets too. I LOVE THIS BOOK!!
This book has a lot of helpful information and tips. I have even tried some of the recipes and my family loved them. The biggest loser is a motivational group of real people.
I love this book! After being inspired by the show, I decided to get this book to change my eating and cooking habits. It has really wowed me. I have really enjoyed using it. The recipes are great, they taste amazing, and I love how they show the calorie count.
I use this book approximately 3 times a week and I've not gotten sick of the recipes yet! I've lost about 12 lbs! It's awesome. I will look REALLY hot when my husband gets back from Iraq! yipeee!!!
I never received this book. I paid the seller within 48 hours. I have e-mailed and never heard a response. I have not done any research on how to handle this. I have not bought or done any bidding sense the incident. I was buying the book for a christmas present, after 3 weeks I was concerned. I am very upet with loosing the money that I paid. Is there no security when using Pay Pal?
Provides all the necessary information to go about losing weight and getting healthy. Excellent tips, menu options, workout plans. For anyone who has watched the show this book provides all the same tools the participants receive to achieve their weight loss goals.
I like the sucess stories they are really inspiring and do help to set your own goals. I actually had the dvd for workouts and decided to but the the book for food ideas. I've lost six pounds so far and plan to keep it up.
I didn't like this book because I thought it would be about the losers & how much weight they lost..and their stories. That was true for a very small portion of the book. One thing I did like was the pictures..but they didn't put the before & after pictures together...they are scattered throughout the book.
The book was ok, but i also bought the cookbook and it was awesome!!The recipes in the cookbook let you feel like you're being bad, when you're actually eating very healthy!
This book is so informational for all of us "yo yo dieters". Speaking from personal experience being on a "diet" is the hardest thing to accomplish. I have had a lot of struggles throughout life. Being on a "diet" is the hardest struggle. This book was so inspiring and so realistic. Reading about others stuggles with weight gain and loss, was just like my own struggles. And to read how they succeeded and didn't give up was just tremendous. The trainers are also so inspiring. Julian can speak from the point of view of being "the heavy girl". She was there once herself and can pour more heart and soul into feeling what we all feel as being the "fat person". This book is filled with recipes, meal plans, calorie guides. All you need to get started on a new accomplishment of "weight loss". Don't look at it as being another "dreaded diet". Instead look at it as a future for not only yourself but your family, friends and everyone around you. First and foremost you need to make this all about YOU before anyone else. Only you and you alone can make the change. I no longer look at it as being on a "diet" but instead look at it as part of life. I want to enjoy life and live it as long as I can and this is all the inspiration I need to accomplish this very hard goal. In my prayers and in my thoughts. I hope I have inspired you just a little. I love how this book is laid out. It not only makes it user friendly but also very easy to read. This book is not a diet plan that you have to follow precisely but more of a guide and inspiration. I hate how some diet books spend pages and pages telling you exactly what and how much of it to eat at each meal. The biggest loser teaches you how to eat healthy with what you already eat. It helps you to learn the difference between calories and fat, good carbs and bad, and even discusses a more nutritional adult food pyramid to follow. So rather than saying you need to eat 1 cup of strawberries at lunch it tells you to eat one cup of fruit. It leaves the choices of what you will eat up to you and just guides you to pick the healthier choices. I also love the exercise portion of The Biggest Loser. Again it helps you to learn the difference between the exercises you are performing, what each one is doing for your body and how it will affect you.
I think The Biggest Loser should be considered a book of inspiration and not one of diet and exercise, thats really what it does! It inspires you to become a better, healthier, happier you!
You just have to have the will power to pick up the book and let it inspire you to become a different person!
It has a lot of useful information on how to work at getting the weight off in a healthy way. Pictures to show the how to exercises and success stories of past biggest looser contestants. I would liked to have seen some type of charting system offered to track personal success.
