Pros:
lots of great tunes, it's garth brooks..
Cons:
all of the good tunes are on one disc, not spread out between the two discs.
Let me start by saying: I used to hate country! I mean really hate country! But then a friend of mine started playing the Garth Brooks "Double Live" album this summer, and I am so totally hooked! I didn't actually go out and buy this album, I just borrowed it from my friend and made copies with my cd burner.
Let's see, what do I love about this album: hmmmmm, let me think, uh everything! Garth has just got this sexy voice and it is sooo much better when you here it live. I think my favorite songs are: "The Dance" which is my absolute favorite (and he did it on the Donny and Marie Show recently, I almost died), when he sings that I just get the chills. I like "Two Pina Coladas", at first I had a hard time understanding the "Captain Morgan" part, I thought he was saying "California"...how stupid was I. That is a totally cool song, and I really do believe that "heartache can be cured by the sea" (are those the exact words??). One song that I laugh at is "Friends in Low Places". That song reminds me of junior high. One of my friends did that in a talent contest, makes me laugh. I just love all the songs on disc 2, "Rodeo" "Beaches of Cheyenne" and "American Honky Tonk Bar Association"..just to name a few.
I actually like disc 2 better than disc one. Disc two has some cool tunes on it as well: "Fever" is just awesome, and "To Make You Feel My Love" reminds me of the movie "Hope Floats". I can totally love a singer, but not like all of the songs. I only listened to disc two a couple of times, so I really don't know the songs on there. The tunes are ok, but I just could not get into them. It is like Shania Twain, I love some of her stuff, but "That Don't Impress Me Much" totally sucks. (just a comparison).
If you really, really love Garth and want to spend a little money, try finding his box set. You can find all of the songs (except for the long version of "Friends in Low Places") in his box set. I highly recommend buying the "Double Live" album, by Garth Brooks. Great listening music for the car (though don't sing like I do, people just stare).
