I am a big Def Lepppard fan. I had one of the cassette to play in my chevelle (muscle car) but it broke. I found one on e bay and was thrilled to get it.The price was right :)

Thank you for voting. If your vote meets our Def Leppard's BestWhen Def Leppard appeared in concert at Irvine's Verizon Wireless Amphitheater last September 30, they started off the show with "Rocket" and "Animal." These are the second and third cuts from their 1987 release "Hysteria." The band also played "Pour Some Sugar on me," "Armageddon it," and even some of the more deeper cuts such as "Excitable." They are aware of the huge popularity of "Hysteria," which is their most critically acclaimed and commercially successful offering. Known for their melodic heavy metal tunes and sweet backup and harmonizing vocals, "Hysteria" shows all these and more at their best. They even get political in "Dogs of War" which has sound bytes from President Reagan interwoven with the haunting guitar riffs at one point. I have the CD in my collection already and it has been worn out in places from all the times it has been played on my car stereo. My purchase of the cassette rounds out my cassette collection of Def Leppard releases and makes very good workout music (especially some of the more rousing tunes such as "Armageddon it" and "Love and Affection." I am one of those dinosaurs who still uses a Sony Walkman with cassette and for now, see no reason to upgrade.
Def Leppard fascinates me because they are so hard to classify. Their guitarists are as energetic as any other metal group yet their songs are overwhelmingly upbeat, usually about love and hope. The melodic nature of their songs and the harmonizing style cause them to be thought of as "pop" in some ways yet many of their songs are too edgy for pop. In the end, I'll go with my description of their style to a friend with pre-teenagers: "Family friendly heavy metal."

I suppose that everybody has an album that defined their childhood, the one that caused them to spend countless hours playing air guitar (or air ukulele, if you live in Hawaii) in front of the full-length mirror. When the band Def Leppard is brought up, oh so many people consider them a relic of the hair band era that MTV gave us. They get lumped in with the Cinderellas and the Wingers and the Strypers. But while all those bands sucked (yes, Cinderella sucked people, badly I might add), in terms of creating albums that stand the test of time, Def Lep belongs more in the category of a Bon Jovi, though their latter albums haven't sold nearly as well as Jovi's (only 1999's Euphoria has gone gold since the band's last multi-platinum sales success, 1992's Adrenalize). With Pyromania, Def Leppard became one.

If you grew up in the 80 s and you loved rock and roll music, then you had to have heard of this awesome rock band called DEF LEPPARD. The 80 s were a time when rock and roll was changing. You had the new groups that wore make up and dressed up like women, and you had the groups that were just strange all around. But with Def Leppard they were a rock band that looked normal. I have been a Def Leppard fan for a very long time. I grew up listening to them on the radio in the 80's. Def Leppard is probably one of the best rock bands to live through the 80's and now into the 90's. 1983's Pyromania was Def Leppard's third album, and boy it was a great one. Three songs on this album made it on their greatest hits album. Several others should of too!
