For any one out there who doesn't know who Anita Baker is, there's a disc I think you should get with urgency. It's entitled "Rapture". It is by far the very best L.p. Anita has ever put out. Don't get me wrong, I like the L.p.'s that followed this 1986 release - Givin' You The Best That I Got, 1988 - Compositions, 1990 - Rhythm of Love, 1994. Those L.p.'s are also noteworthy in their own respect, but Rapture had a vibe everyone could get with. Starting from the very first song "Sweet Love" to the last track "Watch Your Step", you feel her presence in the room as she wails throughout the entire 8 track set. An absolute must for any R&B music buff. IF you want to go to the advance round, I highly suggest her 1983 L.p. "The Songstress" - remastered by Elektra in 1991.
