Pros:
all the songs are very different, fun to listen to
Cons:
um...the news doesn't play Madonna's and Britney's kiss enough...
Awww....cute Britney Spears came out with another album. She just needed more money, and she needed to become even more popular. But that s okay, because she does have some talent. Britney Spears is more than just a singer. She s also a really, really good dancer, in my opinion. She dances to almost all the songs that she performs, and all of the dances look really hard to do and must take a lot of time to learn.
Britney Spears is a teenybopper blonde who s been singing since she was a little kid. She s sung all different types of songs, and no one thought that her sweet little face would be stripping on stage these days. And no one would ever think that her and Madonna would...you know (in front of thousands of people live and millions on tv)...but it did happen. Britney Spears is no longer a girl, but she still doesn t know if she s a woman.
Me Against The Music is the first song. Britney does a duet with Madonna, one of the most recognized and highly paid singers in the world. I think that the duet sounds incredible. Madonna and Britney have similar types of songs, and this duet shows that two incredibly famous people can make a successful song together. The song moves really fast and can have very quick moves to choreography. The singing blends well with the instrumented portions, and I like the solo that Madonna has on the bridge.
Boom Boom is the second song, and it starts out with a slow rap by the Ying Yang Twins. The instrumental parts of the song sound so good. There s a lot of percussion used, but it s very soft and doesn t take over the vocal parts. Choreography could be made to the chorus as it moves moderately quick, and the beat s continuous. Britney s singing in the song isn t pushed at all and flows pretty well.
Breathe On Me is a really weird song. Britney s breathing into the mic as she sings, and the song is definitely not her style. It moves pretty slow and seems a bit more like what Madonna may do. Britney s singing is pretty good, however. There are little background vocal parts, and the singing is also very soft and quiet. All in all, I like the song. It s not crammed with too much to listen to, and this makes it easy to focus on one aspect of the song such as the lyrics.
Toxic is another really weird song. The instrumental part has little pauses on every repetition, but it gives the song some type of mystery. The song moves really quick and the beat sort of rushes everything. The singing is nothing like I ve heard - the octave in which the song is sung is really high. Therefore, the singing is not too loud; Britney can t hit high notes with ease. I think the song could use a few more lyrics and less chorus.
The next song, Touch Of My Hand, starts out with this soft Chinese type of music (which doesn t last through the whole song). Eventually, Britney comes in and starts singing really low. The song moves pretty quickly, but it s not too good for any type of choreography. There s a lot of background singing and Britney doesn t sing much. The chorus is really soft, but the singing flows well and doesn t seemed too pushed. I will tell you that I ve never heard a song like Touch Of My Hand.
Overall, I like the CD a lot; I like the different types of songs. Unlike Britney Spears s other CD s, the songs in In The Zone have their own uniqueness. The lyrics in the most of the songs are about love...and you know...grinding. While I wouldn t say that Britney has the best voice for singing, I will say that she s very talented and that this CD is her best so far.
