Dr. Seuss - The Cat in the Hat (2003, DVD)

I was shopping at wal-mart a few months back for some type of adapter for video stuff (I don't recall what) when I happened across some videos of Dr. Suess books. I don't really recall any of them from my childhood but as I have been around children a lot (and to the Doctor's office with my wife, you know for the baby stuff), I did remember they were some pretty neat books for kids. Now, Michael (my 2 yr old son)is not really one to sit with you while you read a book to him (although my wife does try)so I thought maybe he would like these since he does like to watch his Disney videos. So I purchased what they had. I was right, he loves these videos. If we would let him (we try not to put him in front of the tv too much), he would sit and watch them over and over. I know when I put one in for him that he will sit there and watch the whole thing and i can get some things done. He especially likes "The Cat in the Hat" and "The Sneetches". My favorite is "Green Eggs and Ham". He watches them all with great interest. I think its the best Review a kids video can get if the kids and their parents can both agree that it is great. While some wording may differ from the book, it is not by much and is still great Dr. Suess writing and the music is very catchy. I highly recommend these videos for anyone who has kids.
