The Godfather DVD Collection (2001, DVD)

dvd is in excellent condition and fast shipping. I purchased this item as a bithday gift for my brother and he loves it.

No one had to hold a gun to my head to let me know that this was a great price! I had been thinking about purchasing this set at the store for months and then bought two sets for the price of one. I was able to keep a set and give a set as a gift. As fro the movies???? Come on! Classic!

I like and love everything about the collection. I bought the collection for my son for his birthday. He is a godfather fan. He absolutley loves it. Very good selection.

I love these movies. This set of movies has so many great lines. This is a must have for any movie collector. It is a nice set with the inserts and I bought it because I didn't have it. I wanted to be able to watch all three movies in a row without any commerical breaks and lines and parts cut out. Let's face it we have all seen these movies on the tv sooooo many times but there is nothing like seeing it uncut.

The tape was poor quality....Dark and sound very muffled...Contacted seller and not a positive outcome. Would not use this ebay seller again....Was very disappointed since this was a gift. Knew that container maybe damaged...which it was...but tapes not good. Listed as never used...Seller said all DVD in NEW condition and not previously viewed. However, how would the seller know if the tape was in excellent condition if the tapes had not been previously viewed???? Can't have it both ways..Seller is probably a good ebay seller, but was not able to satisify me and therefore will not use again.

Had several other ebay buyers ask me about this seller.....

It's one of the classic "gangster" movie. The directing in it is great, and the story's are great, and the acting is flawless. In fact, all the movies in this collection are outstanding, a "must see."

The Godfather Trilogy is my favorite movies of all time. I'm into Mob/Mafia films and this is the best that I have watched. It's like the E.T of adult men (as Tom Hanks said in You've got mail). The Godfather 1 & 2 are the best out of the 3 movies. Some say that The Godfather 3 is not a good movie, but for me I think that it's misunderstood. the only thing that destroys the movie is the acting job of Sophia Coppola as "Mary Corleone". She didn't do a good job. But all in all, this movie is the best. And it stars my favorite actor Al Pacino. You should check this out or else you'll miss three good things in life.

If you are a Fan of one of the greatest movies every made you must have this collection....many years ago I purchased the VHS collectors set. Then I purchased each of the movies on DVD. I finally broke down and purchased the complete DVD SET. Great content,and a great piece of movie history. A must have for your DVD library. You won't be dissapointed.

Francis Ford in the 1st God Father did a fine job, but to get all three of these master pieces together is worth it totally. The movies will take you on a venture through the whole families story from the early years, till the very end and fall of the empire. This is possible my most favorite of series of movies ever made. Parts II and III are almost as good a I but hold thier own. My highest recommendation to get this collection and have it on hand to watch over and over again.

It is okay movie. Though, I want to say about DVD collection. This is too much of talking and explaining... Get just the parts without additional materials. It will change your view...

Bought the collection for my fiance because he had been milling over it at many stores. I had been agast at the price. Came on eBay and found way more sensible prices.
What can I say? It is the Godfather. Classic.

This was a great set at a great price. You cannot walk into any retail outlet and get as good a deal on a 5 disc collection of this caliber. This was a brand new set, sealed in the box so I did not have to worry about any scratches or damages to the DVD's. This is my families all time favorite movie collection and we simply watch it over and over again. We even took it with on the ride to Florida and watched the whole trilogy! This was definitely a top quality product here.

never recieved the item from seller. so that sucks what do i do when something like this happens. he is already no longer a user of ebay under that screen name but whats to stop the seller from creating a new name.

This is an exceptional film with top actors Al Pacino, Marlon Brando, Diane Keaton, Roebert de Niro and Andy Garcia among others. In the film one can also see a number of the director's own family. This doesn't make the trilogy any less excellent since everything is very professionally done. The continuity of the trilogy after a number of years, keeping the same cast, adds a level of credibility to the whole story. The way certain historic events are hinted at throughout is also another factor that gives one food for thought. Very well done and in short, a thrilling experience not to be missed.

Got the DVD's in prime condition. (so my parents said, because they were sent directly to them) If it made my parents happy, it made me happy. a+

The Godfather movies are some of my favorites. I never saw any in the theater, just on TV which was too longer with all the commerical breaks. Wonderful actors in these classic stories about a mob family! These are long movies that you must pay close attention to the charcters to understand what happens to them later. I highly recommend these for any mafia buff!!

This is one of the best mob movies there is. AlPacino plays as the son of the gothfather, and later becomes the godfather after his father dies. It is a long movie but breathtaking. If you are into mob movies, you will def. like it.

Even after watching all three movies many times over, there always seems to be something knew that you notice or a catch phrase that will stick with you for months to come. It is full of machoism for the manly-man to watch and is truly considered a guys movie. You can't help but get caught up on the entire "family" theme as men are willing to kill to keep in good graces with organized crime. Of course, even family can be dealt with when you beat up the only sister in the family. Nothing to dislike about these movies.

come on... what Italian does not like his heritage!Great movie one the best ever filmed. The history behind the movie was very real and the food was too.

The only thing better than the Godfather is having all three movies (and bonus content!) packaged together. :)

I decided to buy this item because I have been meaning to get my own copy for a long time. This is a cultural staple to all movie fans. Granted, there's betrayal, blood, and violence all over the place in the series....maybe that's your thing. The first two are the best, but the third Godfather (filmed years later) provides a certain closure and does not get the credit it deserves.

one of the best films ever made, the story was awesome and the characters were incredible, now i can go on and on but i highly recommend watching this movie. a 5/5.

This is the complete set with all the movies .Even the lackluster part 3. All the movies have commentary by Francis Ford Coppola and a fifth disc is included with behind the scenes material. This set is quite compact and easy to store. If you are a casual fan of the franchise or a collector of significant films then this is a buy. There is also a version with a tack on sixth disc an the making of the video game that is little harder to find but worth it if you care for videogames. I love it because it it a complete set of one of the best franchises ever and not very expensive and complete. most of the time when shown on tv they skip the 3. A buy .
