Pros:
Great Classics to relax to and re-done by a classic guy!!
Cons:
None
What caught my eye first about this CD was two songs,"Over The Rainbow" and "What A Wonderful World". These two are my favorites on this CD.
This CD is a Re-make of some Classic songs Kenny G heard as a child growing up in Seattle while learning to play the saxophone.
There are Ten Listed songs on this CD. There is a surprise after the Tenth song. If you wait about fifteen seconds another song will play. "The Girl From Ipanema". This same song is on the list of Ten,but is sung by Bebel Gilberto. The version at the end is all instrumental.
Some of these songs I know,but about half of them I know I've heard but I don't know from where. Maybe in an Elevator or after being put on hold when calling on the Telephone,maybe in an old Movie!!
Songs Are:
* Summertime
Featuring George Benson on Guitar. I've heard this one before but I don't know from where.
* The Look Of Love
I know this song and I'm sure most of you know it also if you grew up in the 60's and 70's.
* What A Wonderful World
GREAT SONG!!,sung by Louis Armstrong. I also heard this one growing up. Did You?
* Desafinado
I've heard this one before,but I don't know from where.
* In A Sentimental Mood
Another one I've heard,but I don't know from where.
* The Girl From Ipanema
Sung by Bebel Gilberto. I know this one. I heard it while growing up. She also sings it in another language. I'm not sure what that other language is. Is Ipanema a real place?
* Stranger On The Shore
I've heard this one from some place. From where I don't know.
* Body and Soul
Another one I've heard before,but where?
* 'Round Midnight
Now this one I don't think I've heard before.
* Over The Rainbow
Everyone knows this one. It's from the movie The Wizard Of Oz. Kenny G does a wonderful job playing this one.BEAUTIFUL
** Then the surprise song,that's not listed. "The Girl From Ipanema". All done instrumental. I think I like this one better then the one that was listed and sung.
I know about half of these songs are what you call "Elevator Music," but they are great to listen to when you need to wind down after a day of work or just to relax to.
