Pros:
Great track, love the castanets!
Cons:
A bit repetitive
Hail the castanets! The clackety little guys are the heart and soul of the great remixes that comprise the maxi-single for "Don't Cry for me Argentina."
Now, Madonna may not be the first person to belt out this song, but no one else has the talent and the passion to perform it this way. Start with the almost haunting first notes, then bring in the castanets and the background instruments and cue the diva, she's ready for her close up!
The six tracks offered on the disc are all interesting, but suffer from being too similar to each other, so as a collective, they suffer. My favrorite track has to be the first track--creatively titled "Miami Mix Alternative Ending"--though the Spanish versions are a nice touch as well.
Of the songs from the "Evita" album, this one stands out because of its great hook and Spanish angle, though it's a shame that the more powerful songs like "Another Suitcase in Another Hall" weren't released commercially.
