Pros:
Quantity and quality of mixes
Cons:
A cd will only hold 74 minutes of music
Its a good thing that the Nothing Really Matters (NRM) single had so many tracks. The reason being its a holdover single. A holdover single is the last single from a Madonna album that has to hold me over until her next album. For Bedtime Stories it was the lush and ethereal Bedtime Story single that held me over. NRM is a classic multi-track maxi-single from Madonna. As is typical, she uses top notch remixers including Club 69. I love the original version of the song, but the remixes give me some nine other versions of it to jam to. If this single doesn't make your rearview mirror vibrate in your car, then you're not playing it loud enough or you have a lousy stereo. Most of the mixes are fast, but a couple are slower, and I even like the slow ones too. One has a really cool Indian Hindu type beat to it. Madonna never disappoints, and this is a great single to hold you over until her next album arrives, tentatively slated for Summer 2000, again produced by the very talented William Orbit. I just hope it surpasses expectations, as Ray of Light did.
