Pros:
everything about the CD from the music, to the message, to the variety, and the fact that everyone in the family loves it

Cons:
none

I went to a free concert in the park here at my house. They have them pretty often on the river front and it just happened to be Toby Keith. I didn't know much about Toby before that and wouldn't really say I was a fan. I had heard a few of his songs that I liked before but not really paid much attention to who the singer was. After this night in the park I decided I had to have a CD of his and I wanted one that had most of the songs he had played at the concert in the park.

I searched and found the greatest hits CD. It is great. I had no idea how much I liked Toby Keith. I have always liked some of his music but not been familiar with whose music it actually was. Toby has a bit of a rock-n-roll streak to him. Of course he has a country sound but it's mixed with a bit of rock too. He doesn't do a lot of love songs, which is usually my favorite, but that is fine because when he does sing a love song it is very deep and his feelings come across like a lightening bolt.

There are a couple of really fun songs on this CD like "Getcha Some" and "Should've Been a Cowboy". My husband loves the part of the song "Getcha Some" where Toby starts off saying you have to getcha some kids and goes on to call them rug rats, and other wonderful phrases. He really thinks that is so funny. My oldest son likes the song "Should've Been A Cowboy" and sings along every time we play it.

"Dream Walkin" has a mysterious feel to it, as he sings about a girl who left without ever giving her name and every night he dreams about her. It is a really sexy song.

A couple of other really sentimental songs on the CD are "We Were In Love" and "Who's That Man". They both have a lot of emotions behind them. "We were in Love" is a ver powerful song about things that a couple had done when they were in love. It comes across so powerful because of the strong voice of Toby Keith. "Who's That Man" is a sad song that brings tears to my eyes. It is about a man who is driving down the street he used to live on and noticing that nothing has really changed since he and his wife split up, except for the fact of course that he is no longer there and someone else is.

Now that I have experienced Toby in concert and have this wonderful CD, I will be looking for more of him in the future. I am already in the market for the "How Do You Like Me Now" CD.
