like a lot of people,I knew most of his mainsteream work.I bought this for "pink cadillac" to play in a new 1959 pink cadillac I bought (really!). I was surpsied to appreciate some obscure and rare b-side recordings that I liked as much if not more than his pop culture hits.won't disappoint.can probably get this box set as cheap as the truncated cd on some other auctions.
Love it - has old Bruce songs that are remniscient of tthe Asbury park days - some of the songs are not as good as others, but it's so interesting to hear old stuff, and to even hear an audition tape! Lots of bar-type songs like, Give the Girl A Kiss, and then some of his usual thoughtful, slower stuff - love it!
This 4 cd set is all great. Maybe not the most well known songs but all the songs on this cd are terrific. Any Springsteen fan needs to have this box set in their collection. Thundercrack, Good man is hard to find, and Man at the Top are my favorites.
This compilation covers three decades of the musical journey of Bruce Springsteen, and each track is golden, the common and well-known as well as the obscure and little-heard. Any Springsteen fan will find something about this collection to attract them, and it is a definite must for any die-hard.
