Pros:
Aerosmith live!
Cons:
not on tour now ~
Wake up kids, it s half past the youth, ain t nothin changin but the date . And if I m awake, chances are that I m listening to an album by my favorite band-Aerosmith. This particular album, A Little South of Sanity leaves me aching for a new album and tour from this wonderful band from Boston. (Actually, I hear that they re working on material for a new album now...I CAN T WAIT!)
From the first pounding of the drums on Eat the Rich to the closing classic Sweet Emotion , this is a fun-filled concert, a must have for every Aerosmith fan, and a perfect introduction for fans-to-be.
Disk 1:
Song- Album originally on:
1. Eat the Rich- Get a Grip
2. Love in an Elevator- Pump
3. Falling in Love (Is Hard On the Knees)- 9 Lives
4. Same Old Song and Dance- Get Your Wings
5. Hole in My Soul- 9 Lives
6. Monkey On My Back- Pump
7. Livin on the Edge - Get A Grip
8. Cryin - Get A Grip
9. Rag Doll- Permanent Vacation
10. Angel - Permanent Vacation
11. Janie s Got a Gun - Pump
12. Amazing - Get A Grip
My favorite tracks off of this disk are: Eat the Rich, Love in an Elevator, Falling in Love, Livin on the Edge, Rag Doll and Amazing. This is the most recent songs disk. Most of the songs on here are new classics and the newest songs are on there way to becoming classics. The coolest video concept of all time award goes to Hole in My Soul. I haven t seen that video in a couple of years! Time has really flown since 9 Lives!
Disk 2.
Song: - Album originally on:
1. Back in the Saddle - Rocks
2. Last Child - Rocks
3. The Other Side - Pump
4. Walk on Down - Get A Grip
5. Dream On - Aerosmith
6. Crazy - Get A Grip
7. Mama Kin - Aerosmith
8. Walk This Way - Toys in the Attic
9. Dude (Looks Like a Lady) - Permanent Vacation
10. What It Takes - Pump
11. Sweet Emotion - Toys in the Attic
My favorite tracks off of this disk are: Walk on Down, Dream On, Mama Kin, and What It Takes. This disk showcases a lot of the bands older material. Walk on Down is a nice, different approach for the band, with Joe Perry taking over the lead vocals. I particularly love this version of What It Takes. It starts out a cappella, and seems to be slower and more dramatic than the original version on Pump.
This is the perfect album for casual Aerosmith fans. It s a variety of songs and style that showcases the many sides of America s (self-proclaimed) Hometown Band .
*Sidenote* My personal favorite song by Aerosmith Nobody s Fault off of the album Rocks, and I would have loved for this song to have been performed live at this concert.
