The Waterboy (1999, DVD)

I really enjoyed The Waterboy, with Adam Sandler. I first went and seen it in the theatre and then when it came to video, i rented it. When it became available to buy, i bought it to add to my collection. Why, you ask? I simply LOVE Adam Sandler. =o)

Adam Sandler Plays a 31 year old mentally challenged man (Bobby) who is still living with his mother. Talk about a mamma's boy...LOL! He has been a "waterboy" for a football team for 18 years of his life and he's been "abused" for all of those years by the players because he was the way he was. A coach for another team "discovers" Bobby. He see's that he is a VERY good football player and has him play for the team. Once he gets the "rules" down pat (his very own set of rules, mind you), he becomes the star player!!

Bobby also has a friend that happens to be female that he has known since he was a young boy. Ever since he was a young boy, his mamma has always told him "Girls are the devil". Bobby soon gets his "first kiss" at age 31 from his friend "Vicki". It is a happy ending for Bobby, Vicki and mamma.

If you are looking for a good laugh and you like Adam Sandler as much as i do, then this is the movie for you!!!! Young teens would enjoy this movie as well as the older generation!! Other movies you might enjoy are "Wedding Singer", "Billy Madison" and "Big Daddy"...all staring Adam Sandler!
