The Peacemaker (1998, VHS)

"The Peacemaker" is one of my all time favorite movies. I am a HUGE fan of George Clooney's acting (and, I must confess, his looks! No man is sexier than George Clooney!). This movie is about trying to prevent nuclear warheads from getting to their destination. 10 nukes were stolen from a Russian train & Dr Julia Kelly (Nicole Kidman), head of the Nuclear Smuggling Group is placed in charge of the operation to recover these 10 nuclear warheads. Lieutenant Colonel Tom Devoe is her military intel liason. This movie is packed with action. Clooney & Kidman's characters have to trace these nuclear warheads & recover them. Clooney does a terrific job, one can easily imagine him as working in military intel. Kidman also does a bang-up job. My favorite scene is at the end, and during the scene where Kidman is in Clooney's arms, I was quite jealous & envious! Both actors really get into their characters & are completely believable. Clooney's line "A man got away with a bomb" is powerful as is Kelly's well known line "Colonel, I am not afraid of a man who wants 10 nuclear warheads. I am terrified of the man who only wants one!". I HIGHLY reccomend this movie to any action or romance buffs or people who are fans of Clooney or Kidman! RUN to the nearest store and BUY "The Peacemaker" now!
