No Way Out [PA] - Daddy, Puff (CD 2005)

The only real reason I wanted this CD was because of the track "Victory", which is one of my all time favorite songs. There were a few other good ones on this CD, but most of it seems to be commercial fillers. Here's the songs on the album and what I think of them. I had forgotten what some of the songs sounded like, so I left those blank.

NO WAY OUT
This was a short intro and prayer by Puff Daddy. For a prayer, it actually was a pretty good track. The synths that backed up the prayer were arranged very well.

VICTORY
Absolutely the best song on the album. Busta Rhyme's appearance in the chorus made this song even better than it already is.

BEEN AROUND THE WORLD
I really did not care for this song, even though it was one of the singles of the album. Mase is a good rapper, but the cheesy background music is just horrible (Especially since it is sample from 'Let's Dance' by David Bowie). I did like the little skit they placed at the end of this track about the mad rapper and mad producer. That was kind of amusing.

WHAT YOU GONNA DO
I loved this song also. As a story on living a gangster life, it is a very intense song.

DON'T STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING
Another one of the cheesy songs on the album.

IF I SHOULD DIE TONIGHT
Similar to the first track "No Way Out", but not as good.

DO YOU KNOW
I actually love the hook of this song (although most other reviewer's didn't like it.) The lyrics weren't particularly unique, but the melody was nice.

YOUNG G'S

I LOVE YOU BABY
This one was sort of good.

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE BENJAMINS
I was hoping that this would be the rock remix, because that version of "It's All About The Benjamins" is awesome. However, this was the lame cheesy hip hop version of the song. Even if it does say REMIX on the cover of the CD, it's not the good one.

PAIN
This one is similar to "What You Gonna Do"

IS THIS THE END
I liked this song. It had a catchy hook to it.

SENORITA
It has a sexy skit at the beginning in which Puffy is learning some Spanish from this Latina girl he is with. Other than that, it's not that great of a song.

I'LL BE MISSING YOU
Stinks. I don't like "The Police" version either.

CAN'T NOBODY HOLD ME DOWN
Also stinks. It's very cheesy.

Some of the songs are good, while others aren't. You could probably blame the original writers for that, since every single song on here was sampled from someone else.
