Pros:
Live Pink Floyd, neat little booklet
Cons:
Which album do you buy?
The real problem for me buying a Pink Floyd album was which one to get. They all seemed to cost $30 or more, and many have overlapping songs. To top it off, I'm not the world's biggest Pink Floyd fan, so I had to buy something that incorporated just about everything. Enter Pulse.
Oh it was tough. I had "The Wall" in one hand and "Pulse" in the other. The sweat rolled off my forehead. The Best Buy people gave me strange looks. After hours of deliberation, the verdict was in. I gingerly placed "The Wall" back in its proper receptacle and walked away with my new album.
I'm glad I did. Pulse had more of my favorite songs on it and even though I took a gamble because it was live, Floyd is a decent live band. I especially like the rendition of "Comfortably Numb", one of my all-time favorites.
If you buy one Pink Floyd album, I recommend this one. Good songs, live, relatively inexpensive ($30 for a 2-disc set). It also comes with a neat little booklet with pictures from their Pulse tour. Groovy.
