Pros:
11 great songs
Cons:
nothing
One question I have to ask before you listen to this CD is are you in the mood for a strong, powerful voice? Are you in the mood for songs mainly about a woman going after what she wants? Are you in the mood for songs about an independent person?
Okay, I'll admit that was way more than one question. But I do feel all of those things when listening to this album. On it are 11 of what I consider to be some of Lorrie best songs. I guess that's why it's called a greatest hits huh?
Songs on this album are these:
1.Five Minutes
2.Dear Me
3.Except For Monday
4.A Picture Of Me (Without You)
5.Watch Me
6.Something In Red
7.Back In Your Arms Again
8.I Didn't Know My Own Strength
9.Standing Tall
10.What Part Of No
11.Til A Tear Becomes A Rose
My all time favorite song is Something In Red. A song that leads through the courtship and life of a woman in love. Another really powerful song on the album is Til A Tear Becomes A Rose. This song is a duet with Lorrie's late husband Keith Whitley.
I find myself listening to this CD whenever I need a pick me up. Usually during cleaning. Also when my husband has upset me in some way and I feel the need to sing along with a pro woman woman message. Lorrie has been in the country music business for a long time and I can say her work just gets better and better. This album will give you some of her best.
If you don't like country music than I would say don't buy this album. I don't think it's a good middle of the road between pop and country. Shania Twain or maybe even Faith Hill would be a good choice. But for good, soul moving country, this is the one for you.
