I had been searching for The Jungle Book on ebay for sometime and I wanted it at a good price. I got it for a good deal and it plays flawlessly. The seller was quick and I had no problems with anything.Thanks.
We were very happy to be able to get the DVD of the Jungle Book as we could not find them in the store to buy. The children love the music in the story. Just wonder if there should have been a sheet telling the story or information on it in the box.
This movie is the first one I have seen from Disney. 30 years later, it is still a movie I can watch. How I miss these movies. Just stay away from the Part 2 movie. It is a waste of money. But this one is great.
The Jungle Book DVD has been impossible for me to find until my son recommended E-Bay. I ordered it and when it arrived, it was in excellent condition which made me a very happy person. It gets played everyday by my granddaughter, with not one problem. This first time E-Bay buyer will be back.
Another import dvd. Not represented as import, not listed as import, but sold to the buyer as an import. The dvd does not work in any of my dvd players, which are all less than a year old.
Jungle Book is a Classic! Animation and Color are excellent. The songs make you get up and dance giving you the wonderful happy feeling. Just remember to look for the bear necessities in life! Recommended for your home collection.
This full featured animation is much more than it appears. It entices the child in us to remain alive and yet at the same time it incorporates themes of lasting friendship, the detriments of temptation and most importantly that we should look to the fundamentals in life and take time to enjoy them. Contrary to what some may believe this is not a mere "cartoon" akin to cats smashing mice with mallets. Rather than focusing on the excellent animation in the movie by itself, if you watch the movie (and yes, it is an animated "movie") with a focus on the words, themes and especially the lyrics to the songs, you will gain a new appreciation to this great work of art. My particular favorite is when the animated character "Baloo" sings the song "Bare Necessities". Only too often we rush through life rather than taking the time to stop and smell the roses or appreciate the fundamental parts of life such as the ability to taste a wonderful meal, enjoy the sun on our face or just appreciate the bare necessities of life. This is a great animated example of fundamentals of life that can ease children into life's lessons and also providing adults with a reminder of the significance of life. I give this a five start rating!
Mogly and Baloo take us through the jungle with thier songs and antics as they defy the odds and overcome the snake, the tiger, the monkey, and much much more!!! Thanks for reading my opinion, and if you'ld like to check out my store, I am permitted by ebay to provide you a link here: http://stores.ebay.com/SellsEveryTime
Disney stuck gold with this film!! This is one of those great coming of age stories, but with a twist, the boy who's coming of age was raised by animals, Literally!! The buy Moglee, was orphaned in the Jungles of india at birth and had to be raised by a bear and a panther... This film contains some great musical numbers that the whole family can enjoy!!
This Disney classic is without a doubt one of the most fun. Your kids will be up dancing adn singing along with the movie and you'll be laughing along with them. Harkened back to a simplier and more kid friendly time, this classic tale with its whimsical illustration and free-loving characters and songs will entertain the entire family and teach valueable lessons.
A must have for any family or anyone who is young at heart.
One of my all time favorite Disney films!! It does have my ALL TIME FAVORITE DISNEY SONG ?I WANNA BE LIKE YOU.? A beloved classic. People of all ages can enjoy this film.
My only disappointment, which we know Disney will REISSUE IN THE FUTURE, is this is one of the earliest Disney releases on DVD so there were no extras included on it. Disney should have this one high on the list of their films where reissues on DVD with extras on the DVD, Making Of specials, behind the scenes type items are included. Since this was the last film Walt supervised & worked with before his passing, a better DVD edition is needed to do this film just cause.
The Jungle Book is a fantastic family movie. Kids love it and there is more than enough grown up humor to keep the parents interested. The music is very enjoyable, specially Bare Necessities and Like You.
The interview with creators is quite fascinating. This was my first introduction to Frank and Ollie, the animators extrodinaire of the Disney studios. This was the last movie that was started by Walt and it's obvious the team wanted it to be a tribute to him.
This DVD will remain in my collection long after the kids have gone off to college. It's a fun movie with entertaining bonus material.

Pros: Last Movie with Walt Disney's seal of approval
Cons: The voice of Kaa is the same as Winnie the Pooh
The Jungle Book video has been in our video collection for over two years. The cover has long been torn off the video box that is played on a daily basis in my house. I can hand the white box to my son and he knows it is The Jungle Book video. The only thing that took some getting used to was the voice of Sterling Holloway as the snake Kaa. We have come to love him as the voice of Winnie the Pooh. At the end of the video, is a clip of the story behind the making of The Jungle Book and the discussion on Walt Disney choosing the voice of the characters and he had the final say in the ending of..

Pros: Funny and entertaining for kids
Cons: Art work and some voices could be better
I have always been a kid at heart. As such, it often makes it hard for me to look critically at things I loved as a child. But sometimes, watching something anew will surprise you and you will see your flaws. Such is the case with this film. Frankly, I want to love it. Released late in 1967, this was the last animated film to be supervised by Walt Disney himself. That alone makes it a special movie. But it falls a little short of some of the true classics. When Bagheera the panther (voiced by Sebastian Cabot) finds a man cub alone in the jungle, his first instinct is to leave it. But he can't.

Pros: Delightful music; great voice talent; fun story
Cons: One frightening scene for very young viewers (please see review)
On my second date with the man who would eventually become my husband, we went to India. Not the actual country! Instead we paid an imaginary visit to storybook India via the beautiful Disney film The Jungle Book. The family theater in our college town had brought it back to the big screen, and my one-day husband was thrilled since The Jungle Book had been just about his favorite movie as a little boy. I loved his enthusiasm then, and I still love it now, many years later, when we re able to share the fun of this still-classic movie with our own little girl. The Jungle Book originally hit...

Pros: great songs, enjoyable characters
Cons: Walt Disney's last movie
This is the obstinate statement uttered again and again by Mowgli, the Indian boy raised by wolves in the jungle for his first ten years. He was discovered as a baby by Bagheera the panther and given into the care of a pair of wolves who had just been blessed with a litter of cubs. All is well until word reaches the wolves that the man-hating tiger Shere Khan is once again prowling the jungle. The council rules that they dare not put the entire wolf population at risk by keeping the boy in their midst, and Bagheera agrees to escort him to the man-village. Unfortunately, Mowgli is determined...

Pros: A swingin' animation classic restored
Cons: Does not stay true to the literature the film is based on
This 2 disc anniversary edition of "The Jungle Book" is based on Rudyard Kipling's classic book. This film tells the story of Mowgli who's parent were killed by Shere Khan, a man-eating tiger. Toddling innocently away from the scene of the murder, Mowgli finds refuge with the leader of the jungle's wolf pack; Akela, his wife and cubs. Bagheera the panther and Baloo the bear teach Mowgli the laws of the jungle as he grows, but when Shere Kahn returns those who love the boy most believe he will be safest in the village among his own kind. Mowgli, however, is determined to live forever in his...
