The Jungle Book (1999, DVD)

It's a Disney Movie and everyone likes a Disney Movie. It was sent to me immediately and we are enjoying it.

Classic Disney-What more can be said! Amazing animation, great colors, lots of activity and a few morals thrown in along the way. A must see for young and old alike.

I bid on and received this dvd. The whole experience was done very professionally and it is great to shop online without having to worry about anything. I bought this dvd for my older daughter to remember her little brother, when he was younger, because it was his favorite and we watched it all the time with him!

This is a GREAT movie! A disney classic. What a wonderful movie for children and adults. My daughter was singing some of the songs for a few days after we saw the movie. A great movie to watch again and again!

Enjoyable for the entire family. Enjoyed it as a kid was glad I could share it with my family. The songs are catchy and the movie has kept my 4-years old interest. Good addition to any Disney fans library.

Regardless of the "surreal" aspect of the movie. Ya Know, Playing in the jungle, snakes, ect. Most children can tell the diffrence between CARTOON and real life. This movie is a timeless classic. Straight from The bare Nessecaties to the fiery end. My children love it. Every child I know loves it. And it does teach a lesson on not to play with snakes, tigers and other wildlife. The point is. If you think this movie is OUT OF LINE then you might as well muzzle and blindfold your child. Tell them to NEVER use their imagination again.......These are the lessons life teaches us. Make friends, Care for one another, beat the odds and triump in the end. To me, that sums it all up.

This movie is a surreal look in to the real life dangers of allowing your child to be raised in the jungle. Despite popular belief, the jungle is not a playground, and children can get more then scuffed knees and a few bruises. Mowgli was fortunate enough to find caring jungle inhabitants, such as Baloo and Bagera, but most jungle creatures would sooner eat a child then sing too it.

If you are planning on choosing to let your child back into the wild, reconsider the jungle, and look into safer, more affordable choices such as the outback, the savanna or London.

I love this movie, it's a classic in my book. I watched this movie over and over when I was a kid. Now, my kids watch it and love it too. I love the songs, they have a catchy beat and are easy to memorize. I like the story too. A little boy is taken in by a wolf family and raised in the jungle. He finds out he has many friends who will help him when he gets into trouble. The ending is so cute. There is never a dull moment in this movie. Kids can't take their eyes off of it. And now this movie is on DVD. Plus, there is a sequel that is just as good as part one, so be sure and check it out as well. Hope this review helps.

This is yet another classic movie from Disney. Although it was originally released when I was a kid, it is still just as much fun for kids today.

Unlike some of the earlier Disney classics, there is very little in this movie that really scares the younger kids. There are a couple of scenes that are somewhat scary to them, but nothing like the scenes in Snow White, etc. Mostly you will just find your kids jumping around like Mowgli and singing these timeless songs. You will probably also find yourself humming the songs hours after you watched the show.

The only draw-back I can think of from this show is how often you will have to watch it if you have younger kids (2-4 years old). My little girl finds a show she likes and wants to watch it non-stop...over, and over, and over, and over......

This one really held the children's attention. They enjoyed all the singing and thought the animals very funny. They had more then one belly laugh. They have asked to watch it repeatedly. We bought this as an alternative to the princess movies that were getting repetative. My only concern is that the movie is geared for children at least 3 years old, so it's hard for both my preschooler and toddler to watch and be happy at the same time.

I was so happy to finally find Disney's Jungle Book on DVD. We switched over to DVD's from VCR's a while back and I have been looking for this DVD ever since. As you probably know Disney only offers their best for a short period of time and then it doesn't happen again for around 10 years before they are offered again.
Their are some movies you just don't ever outgrow. And I feel the Jungle Book is among that list.
We have a rather large selection of DVD's and there is never a time that someone can't find something they want to watch. A good friend was in the hospital for cancer and we gathered up a collection of our DVD's and took them for him to watch on his portable DVD player. We had a selection ranging from good old Disney Classics to action movies and to comidy.
DVD also work so well when traveling in the van. We have a T.V. and DVD player. Back in the VCR day's their was sooooo many cases going and falling all over the back of the van...not to mention rewinding. Now we just go through and take a ton of DVD's and they all fit into a CD case and their is no rewinding. :)

I WOULD HIGH RECOMMEND THIS INSPIRATIONAL MOVIE TO ANYONE, WHO APPRECAITE FREEDOM. I GOT TO ADMIT THE TALE OF THIS STORY WAS INCREDIBLE. IT GIVE ME A DEEP THOUGHT ON HOW AND WHAT WE DO IN LIFE CAN CHANGE IN AN INSTANT. LIFE HAS ITS FUN YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN DAY TO DAY. THERE ARE SO MANY TWIST AND TURNS. I AM GREATFUL WHAT I HAVE. WE ARE PUT ON EARTH FOR SUCH A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. WE GOT TO USE EVERY DAY, MINUTES AND SECONDS TO THE MAX.

I was excited to see this DVD come up for auction. I wanted to buy it for my grandchildren. I enjoyed it as much now as I did when I first saw it as a child.

Sent money unknowingly to a hacker. Ebay contacted me 3 days after I sent payment off, and there is no way to get my money order cancelled. No help from Ebay, just a run around to various sites with no results. Will NOT buy any more DVD's from Ebay.

The Jungle Book will be the #1 Disney movie, I would recommend for any kids starting from age 2. With simple kids' language and without any kind of scary scenes, Disney did a great job to entertain the kids.

Never miss this one in your collection even for your grand children and beyond. :)

With all the new garbage Hollywood is throwing at our kids it is refreshing to be able to pop a classic in and know our kids are getting good wholesome entertainment.

This was one of the last films Walt Disney personally supervised and it shows in the fun a quirky ways teh characters interact and problem solve.

Classic Family Entertainment.

This movie is great for young kids (and those of us who are watching it again since we were kids). It's a fun story line and offers lots of singing along with cute dance scenes. Keeps the youngsters sitting in their seats the whole time the movie is playing. (Adults will have fun recognizing some of the voices that were used for the animal characters.) A good movie to add to your library of DVDs.

I was new at purchasing on ebay but when i found and ordered this dvd i was a little nervous because it took a little longer to get than the others i purchased. however, when i went back to the site, i noticed that it was shipping from out of the u.s and so i wasn't so nervous. when i recieved it, it worked fine.

The DVD was supplsed to be new and it might have been. It cam shrink wrapped but upon viewing, there were several places where it "skipped, jumped and paused". Not a quality product.

The movie was listed as new in box. While sealed, it was obviously previously viewed and disguised as new. The box was shrink wrapped, not in the original wrapping; the white "safety tape" had been removed; there were smudges on the dvd. While the dvd plays fine I feel cheated and lied to. The only reason it was not returned was I did not inspect it thoroughly or view it until well after the return time expired.

I loved the Jungle Book when I first saw it as a child. Every song is great and it created a lover of Dixieland jazz from that time on. The sequel to this movie doesn't even light a candle to it.
All the characters were superbly cast.
The DVD however, leaves much to be desired. What you see is what you get. The movie and nothing else. Not even the movie trailer is included. There isn't any commentary or additional information about the making of this wonderful film. I would really like to hear from the Sherman brothers who wrote the music while they're still alive.

How can anybody not like The Jungle Book? Great story for young and old. Very Musical.Disney has done well with this one and many others that they have out. We enjoy many of the Disney movies but The Jungle Book is one of my son's favorites so it is watched several times here at home.
