Purple Rain (Sdtk) - Prince (CD 1987)

Whoa, EricaAnn you like Prince? Is the response I get majority of the time I roll up playing this. It seems to others to be totally out of character for me. Ok, I admit it I love Prince. Always have, always will. I have stood by his music even with the hey look at me I'm a symbol..then hey look at me I'm Prince again. Wishy washy he may be but I am not about him.

1984

The Prince before all the symbols started. When his creativity and Purple Passion ruled his music. His high heels kicked into a frenzy on songs that just demanded to be heard. I personally prefer Prince when he's being downright erotic, or nasty. But, I enjoy this album as well. Especially Darling Nikki. What can I say, I am a closet Prince freak. Or at least I was until just now.

Purple Rain - A Definitive Effort

Track One : Let's Go Crazy Dearly beloved, the opening almost everyone knows. Prince's vocals speak over an organ with a slight echo. The drums come in as the guitar takes you over. If this doesn't move your feet, what will? Life is meant to be lived, stop being so careful all the time and just hang loose. Hard advice in these times, but if you can't be a little crazy and have fun what can you be?

Track Two : Take Me With U Think Phil Collins meets Prince and you have some idea of the opening of this song. It's a sexy little opening that Prince spins a web of seduction into. Prince doesn't care where you go, or what you do..just take him with you. Prince on this track blends a variety of instruments together to bring you a ecclectic piece of ear candy.
