If you enjoy Elton John, this CD is an excellent collection of some of his best loves songs (hence the title, Love Songs).
Love Songs is classic Elton John to me. I grew up with parents who enjoyed Elton John and so the music often reminds me of growing up. That alone does not make him once of my favorites, after all, my parents also enjoyed many other artists.
Some of the songs I remember best are his love songs, and so I was thrilled when he put out this CD. It was put out in 1996 by MCA Records. There are 15 songs on it, ranging from different time periods in his life, including:

Sacrifice
Daniel
Someone Saved My Life Tonight
Your Song
Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me (with George Michael)

Can You Feel The Love Tonight and Circle of Life are both from the movie, The Lion King. Candle in the Wind is the song his tributed originally to Marilyn Monroe, and then re-did for Princess Diana.
To me, this is "classic" Elton John. Beyond the flambouyant-ness (is that a word?) and the crazy antics and costumes, many of his songs touch on issues of love. I feel this album is an excellent tribute to some of his finest solo work. If you enjoy Elton John, give it a listen.
