  Identity Revisited
Review created: 08/31/07

Again, another great action/spy movie. With all the Hollywood action, which is sometimes a little over the top....but you have to love watching it. Makes you wish you were a secret agent man. Had already seen Identity all the way through, but hadn't seen all of Supremacy....so what better way to get ready for Ultimatum.

The Bourne Supremacy is a very good drama with lots of action, intrigue which
keeps wondering. Matt Damon gives a wonderful performance as Bourne. It is a
movie that you not only watch then buy.

I received my DVD movie "The Bourne Supremacy" a few weeks ago still in its original wrapping. I have watched the movie tons of times since purchasing it and I have had absolutely no problems. I will personally purchase more movies from this seller in the future and I would recommend them to anyone else who may want to know.

This is a very intelligent movie. It filmed to make you feel that you are part of the action. The acting is very convincing. I really enjoy watching and re-watching it.

After seeing the first DVD "The Bourne Identity", I had to get the 2nd. I was not disappointed at all. Great action flick. I did not care for the girlfriend dying though, but then you would not have the anger from the character to stop the bad guys once and for all (Theoretically speaking). I would like to see a third movie with this character.

  Excellent sequel, suprising for Hollywood

Unusually for a modern Hollywood film, I fell in love with the Bourne Identity. It was a fresh gritty take on the mega budget James Bond type thrillers, there was genuine chemistry between Damon and Potente and a satisying, optimistic ending that was not sugary.

I waited in trepidation for The Bourne Supremacy but was disapointed. Franka Potente was killed off inside ten minutes, the camera work was too shaky and there was no depth, just non stop action refusing to slow down for any character interaction or development.

I watched both Bourne fims the other night and I have mellowed in my assessment of the Bourne Supremacy.

Sure, what I initially thought of it is true but taken in context it is still a good film that is far better than anything Hollywood is offering.

It is great to see European locations and the brief insight into European culture that is never seen in Hollywood films.

I am also intrigued by Bourne's (or whatever his name is!!) amnesia. Is it real or is it selective? Was it caused by a pyschiatric episode or by his 30 million dollar training?

What really makes this film is Damon's emotional intensity. He holds the film together and makes his character believable which is great considering the screen time he has when he's not running , driving, shooting or beating up people.

It is a good film but I hope there is a third film and that they concentrate more on Bourne's character rather than the action.

Bourne continues to make a very good impression. The use of all of the actors from the original really enhances the performance.

  The Bourne Supremacy
Review created: 05/11/06

In this sequeal to the original movie, it follows up with the corruption within the cia. A top member in the cia, who uses cia black ops money to buy oil futures and makes millions with a russian co-hort try and frame bourne with the killoings of 3 cia agents. But un-beknownest to anyone, the killings started in the first movie, when he kept remembering little things through the first film. And now, in the second film, these little things come out again. Marie, is killed by accident while she and bourne are trying to escape an assassination attempt. Bourne thinks it's the cia. In reality it is the greedy man's answer to a long awaited fix to an old problem. Pamela Landy, is trying to figure everything out. Bourne is just one step ahead of her in the game. The Police are 16 steps behind everyone. Bourne gets the goods on the corrupt official and turn them into Landy. The corrupt official, well.
Bourne makes his way into Russia to explain to a daughter of a family it was him who killed her parents, not a murder suicide. Leaving the daughter even more confused than ever. BY the time the end of the film comes about...you start to wonder, is it worth it. The cliffhanger part is in true bourne fashion. When he finally tells Landy to get some sleep, she looks tired.
And the classic scene is when bourne is on the move again. I would like to see a 3d sequel to this movie. Matt DAmon play an excellent part as Bourne, and I cannot see anyone else portraying this part.

  Suspenseful Action Film
Review created: 11/18/05

If it's action and suspense that you want, you'll get both in spades, with a "knock your socks off" cast and script. The car chase near the end of the movie, while gripping and exciting to watch, defies plausibility but doesn't detract from the suspense or the quality of the movie. Well worth watching for action aficionados and those who enjoy thrillers.

Matt Damon is Back as Jason Bourne in The Bourne Supremacy
Review created: 08/01/04
by: dragonfire88-- a member of Epinions and Advisor in Movies

Pros:
Damon as Bourne. Interesting plot. Action.

Cons:
Very jerky camera. I was disappointed by something that happened.

In 2002, a new spy, Jason Bourne, came on the movie scene in The Bourne Identity. I saw that movie in the theater and really enjoyed it. I own the DVD and have watched it several times since then. I have been looking forward to seeing the second movie featuring Jason Bourne, The Bourne Supremacy. I wanted to go see it sooner than I managed, but I did see it. I enjoyed the movie for the most part, but I felt there were a few problems with the movie. In discussing things about The Bourne Supremacy, some things I mention could be spoilers to The Bourne Identity if that movie hasn t been seen yet.

  Bourne Rennt. 'The Bourne Supremacy'
Review created: 07/25/04
by: Vormancian -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Greengrass. Damon. Actually 'using' direction - Imagine that.

Cons:
Occasional weaknesses in the screenplay. Some of the quick cuts are done perfectly.

There s a point in The Bourne Supremacy when Jason Bourne washes his hands in a scene that might seem absolutely unnecessary. It was at that point that I decided I could relax. I was by now relieved of my sequel fear , and more importantly I could stop worrying about Paul Greengrass first major effort. While I think Doug Liman more properly captured the feel of Ludlum s novels, Greengrass chose a hyperkinetic, camera in motion style that also works, and in this particular version of such an attempt, that hand-washing scene is absolute gold. Few people have been brave enough to attempt the...

Pros:
Joan Allen, Brian Cox, Matt Damon, Franka Potente, Julia Stiles, the cab chase.

Cons:
I am not at all happy with the death of Marie Helene Kreutz.

The Bourne Supremacy, the sequel to the wildly popular The Bourne Identity (2002), is in theaters. Greengrass has a firm grasp of the films dramatic elements but relies on jittery handheld cameras -- therefore memorable action scenes escape him. I would prefer Liman over Greengrass as the Director of any future installments in the Bourne franchise. And it begs to ask, can screenwriter Gilroy top himself after this? It will be tough. The Bourne Supremacy debuted at #1 this past weekend, with a $53.5 million haul, twice that of The Bourne Identity. The Bourne Supremacy is loosely adapted from a.

Matt Damon goes good kill hunting in The Bourne Supremacy
Review created: 07/24/04
by: flamepillar -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Awesome acting, great car chase and that funny slant-faced "gun scene" you see everywhere.

Cons:
Hard to follow, visually and plotwise.

And just when you thought everything was going to be okay for Jason Bourne. Last we saw, Jason (Matt Damon) had hightailed it to the beaches with his girl Marie (Franka Potente). But, Jason has been having some of those nasty little dreams, which he has tried and tried to interpret without success. Apparently, though, it's got something to do with who he is. It's not going to come easy, for Jason nor for the audience. Probably a good idea if you reacquaint yourself with the first movie before leaping into this one. And even then, you've got to pay some serious attention if you hope to grasp...

False Advertising: "Bourne Again" It's Not. It's an Abortion
Review created: 08/19/04
by: NFP -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Casting.

Cons:
Most everything else.

If the late spy thriller writer Robert Ludlum was half the man I think he was, I'd like to think that if he were alive today he would have had mixed feelings about royalty checks from the film version of his second book in his masterful Bourne trilogy. The film The Bourne Supremacy -- sequel to last year's better-than-average The Bourne Identity -- is such a disappointment that I cannot believe the rave reviews it has received from high-profile critics who should know better. Forget that the story line and locales in the film version of "Supremacy" bear not a scintilla of resemblance to any...
