the music and vocals

nothing to mention
This truly isn't a review as much as a remembrance. George Harrison was one of the most amazing musicians to ever grace the earth. He was a passionate human with a great gift that he shared with anyone who ever listened to his music whether it be a Beatles song or his solo albums. I personally prefer his own music that he made on his own without being overshadowed. Genuises like him don't come around often and this album shows that. Every song on here is priceless. I chose this album to review with this message because the best of George Harrison is the best there is.
What other songwriter could be so versatile going from a beautiful ballad of "Something" or "While my guitar gently weeps" to upbeat tunes such as "Got my mind set on you" and "Here comes the sun"? I'm not saying all these songs are on this album but they're just examples of what he can do. When you hear someone with as much passion in their voice and instrument playing as George did you just have to hold on a moment and think, "wow. This person really had a lot to offer". Time after time I hear stories of people growing up listening to the Beatles and admiring them for changing music and bringing a little more life to the sounds of rock and roll and I constantly wish that I had been there to experience how wonderful they must've been.
I'm writing this review to tell anyone reading this that there is a lot of good music out there but sometimes that's not all you need. George Harrison's music offers a beautiful message and feeling along with that. I think I first started to appreciate his music only a few years ago because I never really liked the Beatles. Then I heard George's voice and guitar playing and there was such a rare, magical feeling to it you don't get from anything else I was entranced.
Most likely not many people will read this but for those of you that do, please, next time you're sad or lonely or wanting to share a happy moment with some good listening go out and buy a George Harrison album whether it be this one or another one. All you need is one. No. All you need is love.....and the best musician of our time, George Harrison, not just a Beatle.
