Pros:
upbeat songs have you singing along
Cons:
poorly written lyrics
Almost everyone knows the heavy metal hit "Poison" off of this Alice Cooper album, but are the other songs on here worth the price of buying the entire CD? I would say yes and no, depending on what you are expecting.
If you are looking for more songs that are as catchy as "Poison", then maybe you would be better off finding a "Metal Hits of the 80's" collection with that song on it. The other tracks on "Trash" just don't quite make the cut as instant ear candy like "Poison". There are, however, some other pretty decent selections on here.
"Spark In the Dark" and "House of Fire" both offer adrenaline raising anthem rock, while "Only My Heart Talkin'" is the requisite sappy ballad.
Musically, they are quite enjoyable, but lyrically, the songs on "Trash"
are absolutely ridiculous. These lyrics are so simple, they could have been written by an 8th grader.
Sure, "Trash" is cheesy, but it's a guilty pleasure that I enjoy partaking in every once in awhile.
